Doesn't God do a good enough job getting us to disbelieve the Bible? You know, by setting up the evidence to look like he was lying? And how we should be ashamed of ourselves for checking?
Oh?? And what might those be?Nah, we have His followers for that -- we know God by His fruits.
Not even close. If Satan can compete with God, one could argue he's just as powerful.
1. He can't. A true believer can spot the difference a mile away. And one of the biggest differences is what is called a 'copyright'.If God is so much more powerful than Satan, why is it that Satan is 1) capable of making something that can compete with God's Word and 2) allowed to by God?
Yes, actually, it is their fault. We are the watchmen declaring the enemy, and for those who refuse to acknowledge that, it is not our fault, but theirs. As I have pointed out before, the rich man in Luke 16 was a very religious man, even calling Abraham, 'Father Abraham'; but when he wound up in Hell, it is not recorded that he asked Abraham 'why' he was there. Instead [twice] he begs Abraham to 'send someone' to warn others.Especially when God knows some will be legitimately deceived by no fault of their own because it is not their fault the ribbon is on every tree now, is it?
And that is exactly the attitude that will prevail at the end of the Tribulation.I don't need Satan to disbelieve the bible. For even if god showed up in my face today and proved himself to be real and told me the bible was his inerrant word, I would not worship him.
The god of the bible is sadistic and evil, I'd rather chill with Satan for all eternity, as he actually had the gall to stand up to the ruthless dictator.

Satan can't preserve his words like God can; this is why we get one 'better translation' after another, and they roll off the presses like syrup.

2. That is God's prerogative. He is sovereign, and He has ordained that we are to let the tares grow among the wheat until He, Himself, comes back and reaps the harvest.

How do you know that you can trust your judgement. You are, after all, just a fallible human, nothing more.1. He can't. A true believer can spot the difference a mile away. And one of the biggest differences is what is called a 'copyright'.
How do you know that your beliefs aren't 'tares'?2. That is God's prerogative. He is sovereign, and He has ordained that we are to let the tares grow among the wheat until He, Himself, comes back and reaps the harvest.
How do you know you aren't unwittingly heading to hell. After all, most of your most obvious personality traits: vanity, ego, pride, self-importance etc are not very godly.Yes, actually, it is their fault. AV, I'm surprised you have friends, given the isolation your theology must give you. It sure will be lonely in heaven if you're right, and empty of people who can think for themselves.
... it makes me feel better that I'm not going to respond.Ask yourself if that statement reminds you more of a follower Jesus or of a nazi. Seriously. Read your statement several times out loud and it starts to sound rather familiar, doesn't it?
I always get annoyed when I make a point, and it gets buried in a ton of questions; but then when I read concluding remarks like these:
So much easier than having to defend nonsense.... it makes me feel better that I'm not going to respond.
