I think it is something that people have no reason to do. Meat is good for you, and God gave us animals for food. Not to mention, I believe I have read a study saying that vegetarians are not nearly as healthy as regular meat eaters...but hey, to each his own.

Sports are good for everybody, but I feel that they get WAY to carried away. From schools to professionals, people get obsessed with them. Not to mention, they are more important to schools than arts programs are, so they get more funding, while the arts programs get cut (I have been burnt by that myself). And when professional athletes can protest playing and ruin a season for more money, I think they need to check themselves. HOW RUDE!

On one hand, I believe that God knows the true state of the heart beyond what the label says.....someone may not have the right words, yet have a heart understanding that they need God to save them.....God is definitely big enough to work with this, the Arm of Salvation is a long & powerful one. But on the other hand, people shouldn't tinker with other religions when they can have the simplest & best Door to God: Jesus.

I know they put all kinds of stuff in them, but there is nothing wrong with NATURAL meat, not bought out of the grocery store.

I don't know much about capitalism...

Coupons are great, but very annoying to cut out and use...but if you are serious about coupon clipping, you can save a ton of money!

It's gone amuck, capitalism........money has become God more then God is God. It's not that capitalism is bad in and of itself, but it needs to be brought into balance......for instance by tithing and taking care of the poor.

World hunger isn't caused by environmental factors nearly so often as it's caused by civil wars. I know Jesus wants us to feed the starving, but if this situation is to change, we also need to be peacemakers; otherwise, the hunger will only continue.

Public schools are in dire need of better funding by the government, because it is education and right example within the religious community that begins changing society for the better.

The public school system in California spends about $5,000 per student, per year, and I would rate their overall performance a C, comparitive to states country wide because children are not ready to enter a university by the time they finish High School. The money is largely spent on racial pride issues for black and hispanic children, which is great if you're black or hispanic, but not if you are of another ethnicity. The public school system in Indiana spends roughly the same amount of money per child, per year, and also expects education to be sublimented by parents to the amount of about $300.00 per child, per year. (which is new for us, as we're used to our tax dollars fully funding our childrens education, and difficult because we have 3 children.) But, the children are made completely ready to enter a University, not a community college, by the time they finish High School. In a nut shell...Some states public schools are better than others. And people who complain about the evils of the public school system as a whole, are usually doing so, because they are not as pro-active about researching this issue, as I was, to know what the heck they're talking about.

following the majority is usually wrong. In the bible it says that "the road to hell is wide and many will go, the road to heaven is narrow and few will go", So clearly, even by the bible, the majority is usually wrong. People can be very misleading, and gullible, so you could always be led astray...always do the research for yourself.

IMO It's one of those issues where you have to weigh the pros and cons to descern which is more significant. I would prefer that General Motors go back to making just the HUMVEE for the U.S. Miliatary, and discontinue the civilian equivalent, the Hummer. Because significantly excessive fossel fuels are consumed by this brand of vehicle...which hurts the ozone layer, contributing to global warming, which is detrimental to the continuation of life on this planet. And it is my personal opinion that it is negligent to support something that is dangerous to our very existance... But, it would almost certainly mean that many people living in the area I live in, would the loss of jobs. And I'm not for people losing their jobs.

Equal pay for equal work? (or why women are currently paid significantly less than men, doing the same job, at the same performance level, in America.)

Well, it seems obvious to me that there should be equal pay for equal work...........but there's the human greed factor and the tendency not to do unto others as we'd have them do unto us. :-(

IMO the reason women are paid less than men in America for the same work/same quality of performance, has to do with long standing gender based biases that are perpetuated by the mere fact that discussing pay scales is considered taboo.
