CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Death is pretty heavy for those that don't know Jesus. I myself am not worried about death...if I die, I die, no big deal. I know where I am going. I have always taken death with a light heart, although, I have never lost anyone that was very close to me, so I really have no experience there.

I was brought up to believe that baptism is the first act that you do in obedience to God after salvation, in front of the whole congregation, by emersion because it's supposed to symbolize the death, burrial and resurection of Jesus Christ.

I'm pro-breastfeeding. I think that it's natural, God designed, much healthier for the baby than man made substitutions. And people in the U.S. should stop being so uptight about it. That's what breasts were created for. If you don't like it, complain to God...don't make a mother feel ashamed to feed her child... ya sickos!

Basements are handy, but tend to be leaky as well. I have had a lot of wet boxes from leaky basements!
BTW: I'm sorry If I might have offended somebody with my opinion on death (#162). Not everyone will agree with it, not everyone will be happy with me, but there is nothing I can do about it. That is just my opinion, that is the whole point of this thread. I can't make everybody happy. I have very strong viewpoints and all of my views are based on my faith, and I am not going to hold back when I have an opinion. So again, I am sorry if I might have offended you.

I just think the tax system must be corrupt or something. Because we pay a lot in taxes and yet I never see it spent on anything. Where's it going? Public officials paychecks? It's not going towards the schools, the roads or the public areas like parks & recreation. In addition to the (supposed) $5,000 a year per student that the state is paying for public education, we still have an out of pocket cash amount that we must pay of $1,000 for our 3 children to attend public school!
