Anyone have one of these? How are they? I'll be ordering one in the next couple of days and I wanted to get some opinions from people who've had some hands on experience with them.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'll buy now and upgrade later. That just makes more sense to me. Afterall, the Tiger upgrade will only run around 120.00.

I envy you sir, I want a g5, though I have no exp. with macs they just looks so nifty, and expensive.

I Agree with the nifty part, but they aren't expensive. The new iMacs start at only $1300. In comparison, that's just as expensive as most other computers. And when you consider that the 17 inch display it comes with, that would cost you the price of the entire computer alone just to buy it separately. It's an incredible deal. They majority lowered the prices with the new G5 iMacs. So much so that I could have sold my one year old iMac for the same price of buying the new thats better than it (if i would have done it before the new ones were released)!

I'm going to be getting the 1.8 Ghz with a 20" screen, 1GB of memory, 250GB hard drive, built in bluetooth and airpot card, and wireless mouse and keyboard. I'm a filmmaker, so this system is perfect for me. Granted, I could have gone with a tower, but I like my computer to be as stylish as it is powerful. Maybe I'll pick up an ipod eventually and then I'll be good to go.

I have a 1.25 PM g4, and its really nice.. i haven't used an iMac g5, but i have used a PM G5, and it was smoking along, so I'm sure yours will to!
