By the grace of God I've finally come to the stage of retirement after 45 years of work, I have to admit it's a wonderful feeling. I plan on spending more time with my children and grand kids and become more involved with spreading the gospel.

Anyone else here retired or nearing retirement?

Congrats! I'm getting close to retirement from a military career (I'm at 24 yrs) - but plan to keep on working after that...

Thank you! And thanks for your service to our country, I'm also planning to continue work in a limited capacity.

I am nearing retirement age but don't expect to ever get to. I worked construction most of my life and there was no such thing as a 401k or retirement. Of course the pay was never steady enough to be able to save for retirement either. I guess I will have to just work until I die.

Surely you will be eligible for social security benefits at 62! You paid into it and will qualify.
