i'm overwhelmed

I just need some prayers right now, and some encouragement, please.

I'm so overwhelmed with raising my 3 (they are 9, 10 and 12). I'm recently divorced (on my own for a year) Between financial stress and being home most of the day with the kids, I just get so tired. I've had a headache for 3 days. The kids have had strep throat, I may have it too, but can't afford the doctor for myself, so I just try to rest, then I get behind on housework....it's a vicious cycle.

I'm trying to get more work (I'm self employed, don't work too many hours) This would help financially and getting out of the house would probably help me too. Please pray for my energy level to come back up.

Jill you are in my prayers. I know how hard it can being trying to parent alone. What type of work do you do?

Also, do you have family that could take the kids a couple days so you could get some rest to start feeling better? Can their dad take them?

I'm just a little depressed. I went off of meds for depr. and I'm adjusting.

I have a couple of people who could take the kids for a few hours maybe on certain days, not for a longer period of time. I seem to always have my 3 kids here plus at least 3 more from the neighborhood. Sometimes it gives them something to do, keeps them busy, sometimes it just adds to my work around here.

Could you specifically pray that I could change the negative thoughts in my head? By this I mean that everything seems bad right now, or that I worry about everything, especially the kids.

Their dad doesn't live very close by and only has them at specified times, doesn't want them any more than that.

I clean homes and offices, but I'm needing more to make ends meet.

I will pray for you.

Did you go off your meds slowly or all at once. That could very well be a lot of your problem. I know I get sick if I even miss one.

Is there a family in your chuch that might be willing to help you out a little?

I guess you could say I stopped the meds too quickly. I've thought that maybe that's been part of my problem. After running out, I took some samples I had, not very regularly, then I just quit. Do you think my head hurting could be from that too?

I have been trying to get my mind off myself and think of others. I've been trying to count my blessings, that usually helps. I just feel like I have a dark cloud over my head.

I don't know people very well in my new church yet, so can't go that route.

I know money is a major issue, but please, please, please try to see a doctor.

Strep Throat, untreated, can turn into Rheumatic Fever. That can give you headaches, and leave you feeling exhausted, but more to the point, it can kill you.

It is very bad to just stop your meds. Please try and find a way to see a doctor or get some help.

I found listening to Bible tapes helped my thought-life turn from negative to much better. the Bible New International Version dramatized one is excellent.

I can tell you that is a lot of the problem. If I miss one of mine I get so sick and you can't be around me.
