Today was my first day of school. Last night I went to a picnic held at someone's home that was for my church's college ministry.
At some point during the party my car keys and my wallet with my debit card, driver's license, university ID, school locker keys and house key were pick pocketed. By whom I don't know. I blocked transactions on my debit card and the police came out to take a report. We had to leave my car in the city by the house because I had no spare key for the car (I have one now). We waited for a locksmith who never showed up and by midnight we decided to leave. I cried and prayed all night.
I woke up this morning to a Facebook request and message from someone who had found my keys on the sidewalk along one of the busiest streets in my city at around 2am and wanted them returned to me. Eventually a police detective brought them down to the station and I was able to retrieve them. My debit card was gone but everything else was untouched. Unfortunately I missed my first day of school but I am so glad to have them back. My car which sat overnight in the neighborhood was untouched as well.
God impressed it on my heart that what happened was demonic intimidation because of my boldness for Christ and how on fire I've been for Him since being baptized a month ago. And now that I look back on last night there was definitely a presence that was nothing but pure evil and I believe I was face to face with a demon. Please pray that I would have God's protection over me as I step into this new season of life.
