  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Oh my--there are alot.

Every dog I have owned has been a rescue with one exception (My Pom).
At one time I had 7 dogs and 3 cats (I live in the country) but total count would be around 25 dogs and about the same with cats and 1 parakeet.

Add a few rabbits, a duck, and a chicken.
I either kept them or found homes for them.

Wild animals--include--racoons, possums, and ground hog.

Two summers ago my granddaughter saved a Sparrow about an hour old--she brought it to me and it lived. We set it free when the time was right but "gracie" would swoop down for a bit of easy food for about a month before she left for good.
It was a wonderful learning experience for the kids.

We also live capture ferral cats to have them 'fixed' and then release them.

Truth be told--I am afraid of horses. I loved horses as a kid. Rode with my friends but I could never seem to over come the fear.

I have a granddaughter who simply loves them and would love to keep a horse out here for her--if her parents ever decide to get her her one.
