I'm Feeling Confused And Need Help!!

Okay, I am Christian, of that I'm sure. I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins, and loves me. I have accepted God's free gift of salvation and mercy and grace. However, there's this awful voice in my head that says things like,

'Are you sure God really exsists?', 'How can you be so sure that God is here?', and, (the most annoying), 'Do you truly believe that Jesus wasnt just a myth or something? How can you be sure?'

Now, I answer all these questions postivley and faithfully, but they keep comming back, and even intrude on my prayer . Is it a lack of faith causing these problems? What's wrong with me? Can someone help?

No hon it's not a lack of faith. It's the enemy trying to confuse you.

When those types of questions come into my mind I tell them to get out in the name of Jesus. Then I start praising Jesus because the enemy obviously see's that I'm about to become a bigger threat to him so he has to try and get me to believe all his lies.

Rejoice in Jesus. He delivered you from sin. And He's got a great devil stompin' future for you.

Thanks so much Quaffer! That's what I thought too... I'm just so glad to know that I'm not wavering... However, I dont do the 'rebuke in the name of Jesus thing'. I just tell the voice to go away.. But, from now on, I think I'll try your way

Jesus gave us the authority to do that.

Now when you first start trying you may hear the devil telling you it won't work. . .but remember. . . he, the devil. . .is a lier.

So just laugh at him and keep thanking Jesus for what He did for you.
