Without exception converting to Islam is extremely foolish.

I'm from FL and I guess you could say my parents are typical southern Christians. I accepted and believed Christianity upto when I turned 13, then I started to look into other religions - and found Islam. I've decided to convert to Islam based on these facts;

* There is a huge amount of scientific evidence in the Qur'an that the bible just doesn't have, here are some eamples; it always refers to ants as she (it's only a relitively recent discovery that all ants are female), it talks of a tiny process that goes on in the mothers womb while the embryo is forming (it's only been recently descovered), it talks of the big bang theory (this is 1000+ years before the theory was even thought up), and there's much more than that.

* The Qur'an is much more solid than the Bible, there are no mistakes or contradictions in the Qur'an - this is not true for the Bible.

* I like the fact you actually have to know Islam before you become a Muslim

Allah has shown me the true path and I'm ready to bow down to my maker.

May Allah help you in your path brother.

Antiseptic, just another comment that I wanted to make. If you want to go experiment with Islam for awhile, be my guest. But if you're still into Islam when you leave home, I implore you to not move to a Muslim nation. Remember that in these nations, conversion to non-Muslim religions is illegal. So if you ever change your mind about your decision, it will likely cost you your life.

You saw recently that an Afghani Christian who converted from Islam, a full sixteen years ago, was recently discovered and almost executed for his decision. And Afghanistan is now one of the more liberal Muslim states! So with that in mind, practice Islam all you want. But I doubt you'd ever want to live under real Islamic law.
