  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

coffee or tea?

I think I lean a bit more towards tea lately.

please feel free to elaborate as much as you like

Weh-he-helll... don't mind if I do. :p

I've been a coffee drinker for a long time (since high school, at least). I've noticed the past couple years though I've been getting jittery rather easily from coffee. So starting back in January I switched to black tea when I go to my favorite shop (about once a week). No jitters. I'm not a fan of green tea, although I know it's good for you. I will say though, I love Ugandan Bugisu coffee. The first time I tried it was when I was actually over there in 2006, the hotel I was staying in Jinja served it with breakfast and it was delicious. A few years ago I found out there's a nonprofit organization that has a fair-trade/co-op arrangement with some Ugandan cultivators, so they sell this coffee here in the States and the proceeds go to clean water projects. Two birds; one stone!

glad to see a brother in Christ who takes note of fair trade products

I get a black tea that is very full bodied
Numi brand Earl Grey, it is made with assam tea (higher caffeine stronger flavor) and bergamot rind instead of just the essential oil to give a deeper richer flavor
Numi brand teas are also fair trade btw

have you read the entire Bible?

Color me impressed, you're quite the tea connoisseur. I'll admit I haven't developed a palette that appreciates the subtleties of tea just yet.

I think I can safely say that, no, I haven't read the entire bible. Although I have read a fair amount of it (I suppose I can thank my Christian elementary education and all those years doing youth group bible studies for that).

oh yes, I love tea
I few years ago I was even more well versed in it, trying new blends all the time, but economic hardships have made me cut back my spending a bit and I can not waste as much money as I used to on exotic blends
something to try is Oolong, it is a cross between black and green tea, so some of them are close to one then the other, but you get a lot more of the health benefits associated with green tea even if it is closer to black on the spectrum

I have not read all of the Bible either, but I have read a lot of the Historical books of the OT and all the Wisdom books and a lot of the Prophets and ofcourse the Gospels
I have not read a lot of the Epistles, though, so I started to read Romans

hmmmmm
favorite book of the Bible?

Oh! I have had Oolong, it was either at my usual coffee shop or this other local place that's kind of trendy... but it's exclusively a tea shop. If I remember right Oolong kind of had a lightness associated with green tea, but the flavor profile was closer to black tea. I really liked it.

Right on man, I know a lot of people who love Romans. I don't think I've ever read that one through. Some of the Epistles that I've read beginning to end are Ephesians, Philippians and Colossians. I guess that makes sense since they're successive like that. :p

Favorite book though, that's a tough one. I really like James' Epistle because of how pragmatic he seems to be about his faith - which is something I can really relate to. In a lot of ways, I think the book is an excellent treatise, in and of itself, on how to follow Christ well.

Whoa, whoa! Oolong is a food, not just a shape-shifting pig from Dragon ball z?
