• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

No, I said it intentionally because I was asking the precher if I had committed the uf-sin and I told my mom because she asked me what was making me so depressed and I told the people online because I was asking them if I had done this. But now I fear that maybe I could have been mad at God or soemthing and wanted them to think bad about God by telling them my thoughts, Im not sure, but Im scared now.

i understand what you are saying but let me ask you a serious question
if you did do that re you proud that you did it if not that shows you have the Holy Ghost convicting you still

No, I hate the fact that I could have. But what if I'm just afraid of going to Hell & I don't care about God. I don't know. I'm so scared.

My dear, you are living in a prison of fear! Only a healing and a baptism of the Holy Spirit will conquer this in you. Jesus died to free you from such torment.

Ask Jesus to heal you now. I am praying.

Memorize this verse:

2 Timothy 1:7
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Write it down on cards and put them up all over your house--on the fridge, on your bathroom mirror, on your computer, on your bedside table--everywhere you go in a day. Read it and be encouraged every time! memorize it and believe it and recite it to yourself when you are feeling as though your thoughts and fears are getting out of control. I know it will help to stabilize your runaway anxiety.

What is at the root of all fear is a believed lie. Satan is the father of all lies, according to Jesus:

John 8:43-44
43 Why can’t you understand what I am saying? It’s because you can’t even hear me! 44 For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.

Hello all..

Thought I would just add this and that hehe.. the pharisees wanted to keep others from following Christ. Aw.. its not so easy.. you cant LOVE him and then blasphem. Mark 9:39 But Jesus said.. forbid him not.. for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name that can lightly speak evil of me.. different trans.. "Do not stop him," Jesus said. "No one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me,"

So I get mad.. call him names.. say whatever.. its not that easy lol..

We sometimes FORGET who were talking to. Caty.. he KNOWS.. KNOWS better than you .. your heart. You posting about this should show you right there you didnt .. ever.. never do it. And you know what.. the only sin.. FOR ME.. what will send me to Hell is NOT believeing in Jesus...

Its a LIE.. being told to you. No more no less. And you should LISTEN to US.. I dont know these others yet we speak the same.. You love Jesus.. he loves you.. .. and WE ALL have thought we blasphemed the Holy Spirit and had people pray for us.. some talked to there pastor.. lol.. its ok. NO you not like the pharisees. They wanted NOTHING to do with him.. .. let go .. let GOD.. TRUST HIM. I bind the Spirit of fear.. it is written God has not givien YOU the Spirit of fear but power, love and a sound mind! Thats what YOU have.

Hi Caty!

Good answer!

So you do NOT believe that all the miraculous works done by the Holy Spirit through Jesus were from the Devil. Good!

So, did you ever lie to anyone by telling them that Jesus and His works were from the Devil just to save your HUGE income and great religious leadership power over some people? Yes___ No___

To do this sin, it MUST be spoken out loud to people. It cannot just be a little self-torturing "mind game." Little thrilling/edgy "mind games" don't count with God.

Hi Keryakos!

You wrote: "what if one questioned if what they said was true?" (end quote).

Could you please clarify your question.

but if you're meaning: " what if the Pharisees believed the miraculous works of the Holy Spirit done through Jesus were really done by the power of Satan. Then I offer Jesus' own words to the Pharisees: "Satan cannot cast out Satan, so by what power do your sons cast Satan out?" Therefore they shall be the proof that you definitely know by whose power I cast out devils."

And besides, if the Pharisees lost their abundant incomes and palatial homes because of all the people deciding to follow Jesus, then how could they afford an alabaster box full of precious ointment to pay the prostitute who was often freely welcomed into their homes?:
================================================================================
Luk 7:37-39 And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that [Jesus] sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,

38 And stood at his feet behind [him] weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe [them] with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed [them] with the ointment.

39 Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw [it], he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman [this is] that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.
===============================================================================

So the question is: How did this woman who Simon the Pharisee himself called "a sinner," ever gain admittance to Simon's palatial mansion unless she was already a "familiar face" around Simon's house? Maybe she was just a cook and a houskeeper? (Yeah, right!).

But when she saw Jesus there in Simon's house, she decided to completely change her way of living and humbly receive her salvation from Jesus, realizing with overwhelming gratitude that Jesus had made her a new person and forever cast her sins as far from her as the East is from the West.

Personally, I think she was Mary Magdelene. But that's just my opinion.

Best Blessings,
"Arph"

sometimes i can find some peace and think "you were just scared and trying to find help from people" but then other times I think but "what if you were mad at God an wanted others to be also."

yea i understand about not remembering thats part of my problem too

but Caty in c
your case there is a difference between out of spite trying to attack God and seeking for help even if you felt a bit angry at God as well..

No, you did not commit the unpardonable sin. You would have reject Christ now for that to be the case. You guys don't have a clear picture of what you would have to be like to commit this sin. In your cases, since you both know Christ, in order to commit this sin, you would have to be actively, purposefully and hatefully denouncing Christ. Turning away from God and questioning and doubting is something that the Lord will forgive. People who commit the unpardonable sin are so hard hearted that thy can't repent. They see no remorse and nothing wrong with what they have done. And as many have said, it doubtful that anyone can even commit this sin today, except that they refuse to believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

Neither of you are in that category and honestly going over it again and again won't change anything. Better to just live, let it go, and pour your energy into something else. I know. I know. The issue of OCD. You didn't commit the sin, believe it or not, you've got to move forward some way.

Caty - there's no sin that won't be forgiven if you give heart up to Jesus. Please don't worry; that's kind of the point - you don't need to worry any more. When you are sure of your heart, say what you need to say to Him and then rest.

You know this already, so please be happy.
