Are you sure you're not confusing the Lord with some other person in your life, like a father maybe. And instead of letting the Lord do the judging you're obviously judging and punishing yourself, thinking you're God. Bad idea!

You didn't create this universe or yourself, Stop playing God. You certainly don't want to be a friend to the one who has decided "to exalt his throne above the stars of God," "be as the Most High," and "sit in the place of authority."

God sees your heart, Caty and He knows that you desire to be His. He has known you since before there was time, and He knew exactly what thoughts and desires you would have. He CHOSE to love you and send His Son for you IN SPITE of those things.

i still think there might be a chance that ive committed this sin (some websites that i read say that i have)

did you read about me telling God one time in a prayer that even if i have committed this sin to please not let me ever stop wanting Him or turn against Him (maybe he granted me that wish & that scares me cause that could very well mean im unforgivable.)

Hon, if He has cast you aside, He wouldn't be granting your "wishes."

If you had honestly committed that sin, you wouldn't care. It wouldn't bother you in the least.

but im afraid that i dont care in that way---that im just afraid of going to Hell. but i mean i want God in my life and i know i cant have a life w/out Him, I'm scared of having a life w/out Him. That's right! Don't listen to those websites. You have a chance to interact with us and find out whether or not we really know what we are talking about, but you can't with those places. You've got to choose sweetheart. Who will you believe? You don't even have to believe us . . .You've got to make a choice to believe the Scriptures despite all these fears and we can help you interpret them correctly because right now your emotions are leading you astray in your interpretation. You are just going to have to trust that what we are telling you about blasphemy of the Holy SPirit is true. I know it is hard, so very hard right now, but don't give up.

okay. but thats why i fear i will never know until i die. cause its not that i dont want to believe you but to me that one scripture cancels out every other scripture about forgiveness.

In my opinion, a person who has committed blasphemy of the Holy Spirit has hardened their heart toward God and doesn't love Him. If you're still wanting Him and desiring Him, then you haven't committed that sin.

I promise, Im not meaning to sound smart or disrespectful or anything , but whenever i hear people say, "thats just my opinion." its just like if someone says to me, I don't think you have done this. Thanks for trying to help, but w/my ocd it takes rock solid evidence & I'll never be able to get that.

Hi Caty!

So which one of the five "Hells" in the bible are you afraid of going to. The King James bible uses the word "Hell" as a one-size-fits-all word for 5 different things. Here they are:

1. Hades - mythological Greek "underworld," supposedly ruled by the mythological Greek god "Hades," from whom the name of the make-believe "underworld" was borrowed. no torment

2. Sheol - grave - no torment.

3. Tartaros - prison for fallen angels. No people there.

4. Gehenna - Literally: Trash dump just outside of Jerusalem. Spiritually: State of extreme guilt and self-condemnation, where the fire of truth is never quenched and the self-destructive "worm of guilt" dieth not. I think this is where you have put yourself right NOW!

5. Lake of Fire - Place of intense light, truth and reality created by the "fire" of the Holy Spirit. This place was made for the Devil and his angels, not for people. Unbelievers are the ONLY ones who will be there for a time after their promised incorruptible resurrection until they finally "see the light."

So which "Hell" is it, the one you've made for yourself - Gehenna? You can get out very easily. Just stop judging your mistakes with your OWN MIND and let the Judge of all the Earth judge everything. Did you think you could do a better job than the Lord? Please relax and let God be God for a change.

Because the Bible never says that. The only thing the Bible says is unforgivable is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit which has been explained. Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is not just thinking/saying something, It is a condition of the heart and if you still have a heart that desires Christ. There is no way you could have committed that sin.
