I just want to comment on this respectfully Elijah . No doubt satanic forces are attacking Caty and me and allot of us who have OCD no doubt but its important to acknowledge that there is also a biological side to OCD that has nothing to do with Satan ..its important to acknowledge both .. perhaps you already have i haven't read all of your posts on this thread ..
but to deny one or the other is not a good thing ..

& to Honeycombson----You said you do not know you are forgiven---but then you said God HAS forgiven you. I dont understnad. Are you just guessing and waiting to find out. What about that scripture. I'm not trying to make you feel bad but how do you get past that scripture or how to you intrepret it.

hey Caty.the point is..when I say I dont know fully in my heart Im forgiven..its because to ME..its not been fully understood..but Caty..this is the part you must get..its NOT what you feel.its not about me and feeling forgiven..you must understand God HAS forgiven me..but due to my past and pain..im not fully able to understand it or recieve what is already there..WHY? because im not sure yet..that does not mean its already there or not been done..you see.. you may not feel it..or your mind may say otherwise..its not about your logic and how you can understand..God has forgiven..just trust me ok.. you may not fully believe it all at once..we all dont at first..but we grow and time we see the fruit..and the only way Caty for you to get past the scripture is to abandon how you think on it..sure in your mind you cant seem to get past it..but Caty.is it not true..alot of us for alot of us..the way we think is not right..dont you see..just because you or I or another person seems so right in our minds and sure..does not make it true..God is bigger then us..your mind and how you think..you must just trust..just let go..abandon your attempts to understand..just rest..it will come in time..trust in Jesus..trust in hope and love.it will not fail you

we are so unsure of God's love at times..it can be hard to recieve it..WHY? because its hard at times for some of us..with OCD especailly to understand or know good and loving God is...society has its own leve..but God is really that good

Caty..trust me ok..i have OCD..you must not try to understand..sure you will..but dont look honey to get past it..the only one who can reveal something..is The Spirit of God and trust me..he is full of grace and peace..you have nothing to fear..

Id like to think of it this way..if your being so tormented like this.it means satan is working against you..meaing! eventually your not gone to far..because if you did..Satan would have no reason to go against you..because you would of been gone.but unfortunately your ok..dont listen to the devil..he has no power over you-though he lkes to think he does and act like it..but just smile..because the ONE in you..is far far exceedingly stronger then the one in the world

Here is an example Caty. im not sure if it was God or not..but it sounds like it was..on one of my bad days..I have alot of them..but i was mad at God..mad..really mad.i cursed swore..called God all the names in the book..you know what.i was in my bed room..i was cursing..and inside my spirit or heart..during this moment.i felt a kiss from God...just a kiss smooch..as if it was saying He loved me and He was happy with me..EVEN during my little rant..I think that was from God..He wasnt mad.it wasnt like i was in danger..just a kiss

and its true..you really must know how much you are loved..HIS love is so much bigger then what we say or do..even amongst us doing bad things..we are in Christ He loves us..He knows your struggles..He is not mad..He is bigger then that all..He smiles upon you..even when you are in dark times.

Hi Caty!

My daughter, the clinical psychologist, tells me that there is a woman Doctor who specializes in leading OCD folks to get rid of their self-torturing condition.
This doctor's name is Claire Weekes. She has been VERY successful in leading many people with OCD to a complete cure. She is the "Gold Standard" for helping OCD people find a cure for their condition.

I have "Googled" "Claire Weekes" and found many of her books on Amazon.com. My daughter highly recommends Claire Weeks' books as a first step in getting free from OCD. Amazon probably has her books in paperback, or even used for only a few dollars. Everything to gain, nothing to lose!

Re: Housework: I mentioned to my daughter that you said you clean obsessively. She told me that with OCD that usually means just cleaning only one or two things over and over rather than the whole house. Much better to "bite the bullet" and do a different room every day rather than one room over and over.

BTW, did you realize that the person you used to be before the first time you said the Sinner's Prayer, is now DEAD? That person never got forgiveness but was put by the Holy Spirit to an everlasting spiritual death.

But now you are a new person reborn by the mighty regenerating power of the same mighty Holy Spirit. Don't feel like a new person? That just goes to show how subtle the Lord's work really is. You are a new creature, God's holy child forever. The Lord does REALLY good work, and FAST too!

In His Word God says He does this for anyone who asks. Do you think He's telling the truth?

Im feeling pretty bad today, struggling with my thoughts and stuff. I tried to think about you all telling me God knew everything about me even before i was born, so if He knew that why would He put me through this If I wasn't forgiveable??

God's not putting you through anything, people make their OWN trials. You're putting YOURSELF through this misery. God gave you complete freedom to do, or not do, anything you want. So how's that "whole-house" housework coming? No, not just cleaning one or two things over and over. I said "whole-house" housework.

I know exactly what you are saying, and I am very aware of the biological side as well. But, have you ever spoken to a believer who suffered OCD and are now completely set free? Have you ever spoken to an homosexual who said that they were born like and are now completely set free?

The sad state of affairs that the Body of Christ has been desensitised by secularism, humanism, new agerism, mysticism and occultism; and lack the ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ.

You see mate, when we have problems, we slowly eliminate the problem by eliminating things one at a time. Therefore, if taking medication, and running around circles by the whims of worldly medical professions is the answer to Christians problems, then what is the use of having a church?

A process of elimination of physical, emotional, and spiritual causes to believers problems is the only way. If something doesn't work, then we try something else. We don't ignore the something else just because it doesnt fit in their mental capacity, understanding, or knowledge of those earthly and heavenly things of the natural and supernatural realms.

Just because other people avoid and say to keep away from it that they are right.

I've seen many suffer because of false doctrine and teaching.

I've seen many suffer from just playing harmlessly with an Ouija board.

I've seen many suffer from playing harmlessly with the occultic practices.

I've seen many suffer from allowing the powers of darkness to come into their home unknowingly through supposedly harmless things.

We live in the last days of perilous times, and the roaring lion is devouring the multitudes, and when the Body of Christ gets back to HIS Ministry, and begin to cleanse their hands, purify their heart, resist Satan and his forces, and really and truly submit to our Lord Jesus Christ, then the Body of Christ will be working in the capacity that HE started.

Good you haven't dabbled with the Ouija board. Have you dabbled in any form of dark practices.

But, you still didn't comment on about reading those books I suggested to you?

I am sure if you read these books they will lead you to further understanding and freedom.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is diagnosed under a mental disorder in secular diagnosis and some Christian beliefs and doctrines; and any inference of that their suffering may be a spiritual problem that is brought on by a person's bondages to fear and shame, is dismissed and ridiculed those who lack any understanding or knowledge.

The person affected experiences many negative thoughts that affects their thinking that they would normally never think. These thoughts are completely against their true nature, and they experience a very strong pulling on their carnal mind in a certain direction that leads them to confusion, frustration, and double-mindedness.

They hear voices deep down inside their carnal mind (the brain), or in some other way by sensing that something isnt right. Its like a magnet in their brain that is pulling their thoughts in a negative direction, and even though they hate their thoughts. They feel as thought they are sharing their mind with another being that they totally disagree with.

These voices or compulsive thoughts are claimed to be a chemical imbalance, which the worldly and secular world cannot explain why this is happening, and have difficulty in treating. But, when OCD sufferer is counselled and viewed under Biblical scrutiny as spiritual by those who know and have experienced OCD in their own personal life, they then realise their suffering is of a spiritual bondage and the enemy is influencing their life.

Many who have suffered from the extreme bondage of OCD, and were counselled by GOD-anointed ministers of the healing and deliverance ministry struggled with accepting and being convinced that an evil spirit could be behind their thoughts that were rushing through their brain and those compulsive blasphemous thoughts against the Holy Spirit.

Many OCD sufferers, who have since being set free have shared how debilitating the fear that would sweep over them as the demonic influence began to work on them, making them feel that they have just committed the unpardonable sin. They shared that their torment was unspeakable. Have you heard that before?

Its not an uncommon scenario, when person experiences blasphemous thoughts against the Holy Spirit, that there are spirits working on them convincing them that theyve committed the unpardonable sin. They continually plant what if questions into their brain, and they diligently work against their spiritual mind (the heart) to make them feel absolutely hopeless and convinced that theyve lost all hope. Furthermore, they make the person feel alone in their suffering, as if they are the only person in the world that such a thing is happening to them.

Those who have been in the ministry of healing and deliverance for a length of time will agree that there are many believers being tormented over the fears of the unpardonable sin, and all of that is the work of the roaring lion who is roaming around seeking whom he can devour (1 Pet. 5:8).

OCD sufferers always ask the same questions: Why cant I stop thinking like this? Where are these thoughts coming from? What has happened to my mind? Can't I think for myself for a change?

Does this all sound familiar to OCD sufferers?

Three things generally cause OCD:

A shameful identity that usually stems from something shameful or a certain sin in the past life of the person!

Occultic practices or dabbling!

A stronghold through the bondage to fear that is often caused by the Satan and his forces influence.

There are many Biblical truths in HIS WORD, and through these truths there are corresponding freedoms that set us free from captivity (John 8:32), and they do have an enormous impact in the life of anyone who is an OCD sufferer. Through good GOD-anointed counselling through the healing and deliverance ministry there can be a complete restoration to their lives.

Once they begin to learn who they are and who are they through our Lord Jesus Christ, and realise that therapy and medication isnt working, then spiritual measures through good GOD-anointed Christian counselling through inner healing is necessary to bring OCD down to a level where personal control is regained over their soul.

However, as believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, the most important aspect of counselling and treatment is allowing HIS hand to have a part in the healing process. We can cry out to our Lord Jesus Christ, Have mercy on me, O LORD, for I am weak; O LORD, heal me, for my bones are troubled (Psa. 6:2), and because of our faith and belief we know that HE will answer our prayer through good sound spiritual counselling.

Its time for all OCD sufferers to know who they are, and who are they in our Lord Jesus Christ!

What do you think that means for me?

All the verse is saying to you, is exactly what our Lord said to the Israelites, and is expressing HIS sovereignty and strength over all who oppose HIM (see Isa. 40:10). HE also said that no weapons formed against you will prosper and any spoken words against you HE will condemn.

But, I really advise you to start reading those books and get good GOD-anointed help. You can set yourself free!

Read James completely through, and when you have cleansed your hands and purified your heart through good sound believer counselling, and resist Satan and his forces then you will be set free.

Kathie, I told Cathy that HE was assuring her the same way as HE assured the Israelites. I can assure you that I am encouraging Cathy, and I know what I am talking about, and that is because of my line of questioning and advice given. That verse given isn't going to set Cathy free from bondage.
