• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Faith is so much more than just belief in the existance of God and belief that Jesus was special. It is TRUST in Jesus to be who he said he is and to do what he said he would do.

Trust Jesus Christ the Son of God who came in the flesh and poured out his blood on the cross for sins with your very soul. Put to death the things of the flesh and worship the Lord in spirit and truth.

Here is the meaning of the cross, a brief 7 minute message from Paul Washer about what Christ did for you. Listen to this and remember Jesus.

YouTube - Paul Washer: The True Meaning of the Cross

Numbers 6:24-26 ESV
24 The Lord bless you and keep you;
25 the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;
26 the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.

I thank you but I already know this stuff, but I do not believe it is for me because i do not believe i can ever be forgiven. even if I did have faith to me it would be blind faith. okay, if Jesus died for all sin then why is there sin that is unforgiveable??

He atoned for the sins of all of his elect. Not one drop of his blood is wasted and all sins of every person atoned for is forgiven. Those who go to hell obviously have unatoned for sin as they are obviously in hell and the only way to go there is because of the guilt of sin. Thus the sin of the reprobate is unpardonable because he is a child of the devil and a vessel of wrath that God has endured with much longsuffering. The offer of the gospel is open to all by the common grace of God's word being preached, but irresistible grace unto salvation is only given the elect. If you desire God that is a sign of grace and a call to repentance and worship.

Romans 9:11-34 ESV
11 though they were not yet born and had done nothing either good or bad—in order that God's purpose of election might continue, not because of works but because of him who calls— 12 she was told, “The older will serve the younger.” 13 As it is written, “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.”
14 What shall we say then? Is there injustice on God's part? By no means! 15 For he says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” 16 So then it depends not on human will or exertion,[2] but on God, who has mercy. 17 For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I might show my power in you, and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.” 18 So then he has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills.
19 You will say to me then, “Why does he still find fault? For who can resist his will?” 20 But who are you, O man, to answer back to God? Will what is molded say to its molder, “Why have you made me like this?” 21 Has the potter no right over the clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for dishonorable use? 22 What if God, desiring to show his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, 23 in order to make known the riches of his glory for vessels of mercy, which he has prepared beforehand for glory— 24 even us whom he has called, not from the Jews only but also from the Gentiles?

Matthew 20:28 ESV
28 even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

1 Corinthians 2:14 ESV
14 The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.

Romans 8:8 ESV
8 Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

Ephesians 2:1-5 ESV
2:1 And you were dead in the trespasses and sins 2 in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience— 3 among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. 4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—

If you desire to come to Christ it is because he has given you this grace and that is a sure sign your sin is not unpardonable.

In reality everyone gets what they want. The Elect want to come to Christ and they get that. The reprobate want to do their own will and go their own way and they get that.

All deserve justice in hell. Some get mercy, some get the justice

Those who get mercy love God and live with him forever. Those who get justice get to be on their own and attain what they desire because in their hearts they hate God.

So for those who love God and trust Christ there is never anything to worry about. The saved Love God and hate sin. Thus at full sanctification in heaven their wills will be united with God's and they will see the glory and righteousness of Him in His judgement of the wicked. Everything God does is good.

Please pray to the Lord, repent and thank him for his love and forgiveness and then worship him in spirit and truth always. I'll pray for you as well.

thank you, so you dont think that God would allow someone who is unforgiveble to come to Jesus??

Firstly: God is our Lord Jesus Christ, and HE is the one who sits on the Judgement Seat. There is no unforgiveness in our Lord Jesus Christ, because we are required to confess and repent, and when we confess and repent, then we are forgiven.

If you don't confess and repent your sins, then you will pay the consequences of your sin at the time of Judgement.

Secondly: You didn't answer my question from my last posting?

do you all think it is possible to commit this sin with in your thoughts?

Caty,

"The unforgivable sin of speaking against the Holy Spirit has been interpreted in various ways, but the true meaning cannot contradict other Scripture. It is unequivocally clear that the one unforgivable sin is permanently rejecting our Lord Jesus (John 3:18; 3:36). Thus, speaking against the Holy Spirit is equivalent to rejecting Christ with such finality that no future repentance is possible. Also, it's when we completely ignore the conviction of the Holy Spirit.

So, have you been permanenetly rejecting our Lord Jesus Christ?

& no i haven't.

Therefore, if you are not rejection our Lord Jesus Christ, then your problem is not confessing and repenting your sin, even though you have been forgiven, you are not forgiving yourself.:)

When we love one another, so do you love others?

And if we love one another, then we must love ourself as well, because we can only love others at the same level that we love ourself and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore, do you love our Lord Jesus Christ?

I don't know, because I used to tell God that I loved Him in my prayers everynight but one nigh this huge doubt came over me and I question if I really truly loved HIm and I don't know, I cant trust myself with things like that. But if I don't I want too, but I hope I already do.

Caty, when I ask a question, I won't the answer from your heart. Your heart is the spiritual mind. So stop answering my question from your carnal mind, your brain. DO you understand what I am asking and saying?

Have you ever prayed the Prayer of Salvation?:)
