Yes, I love when people try to justify themselves even though they have heard valid argments that prove something is wrong. They obviously have no respect for the artists who spend a lot of time writing those songs. So they make excuses as to why they shouldn't have to pay for something... I'll give you 2 good reasons right now.
1) God says to obey the laws of the land. The law of the land says that pirating music is illegal. Ignorance is no longer an excuse. This has been ongoing now for 4 years starting with the Napster thing. No one can say they've not heard about the RIAA mp3 war. Whether you agree or not isn't the point.
2) There are places you can now download single songs. $0.99 is NOT that much money. CDs cost average about $16. You can download most whole cds for $12 on places like itunes. The problem is there are selfish people who believe that if it's offered somewhere for free, why pass it up even if it's wrong?
I've even heard the excuse that people want to hear it before they buy it, even though most artists have either clips or streams of their songs on their webpages anyway. It's an excuse to try to justify not paying for it is all. If an artist wants their music out to the public without paying for it, they will post the mp3s on their own webpage. Any other way, if you agree or not, is wrong...
