Also, when you pray for patience, God makes you wait.
Seriously, I'm fairly hot tempered and God has been working on me for years to tone things down. Most people are surprised when I tell them that I have a temper, so obviously God's instruction is effective - at least outwardly. I still think some pretty angry thoughts.
