CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Please pray for me tonight/today, if you could. It's time here for me to go to bed, and lately I've been having serious pain and muscle cramping all over my body--my legs, arms, back, neck, abdomen, chest, hands and feet.... It is really aggravating and I feel like I've been zapped.
Tomorrow morning I have class and then I have a meeting with my advisor--my hope is that I'll get into the core of my program this fall! That would be tremendous!
Thank you all for your prayer and support. It means a lot to me, for those of you who do support me. Thank you.

That stinks!
I had today off but I'm hoping that tomorrow's Tuesday doesn't feel like a doubled up Monday. 
IJWTS: I went swimming for the first time all summer with my cuz, her real mom and her siblings (and a couple of other random friends of the siblings)....11 of us all together. It was a great time and I'm fried. I look like a tomato!
IAWTS: The cousin's real mom and I used to be good friends in high school and then we had a falling out back in 1990 or so and hadn't really spoken since. I saw her at my cousin's funeral back in April (her ex husband) and we briefly spoke but nothing exciting because of the circumstances. We talked a good long while today and I think we've pushed all the crap from back in the day out of the picture. I guess she was worried about coming since I was going to be there and I told her daughter that what happened back then was ancient history and I wasn't worried about it anymore. It was dumb stuff anyway and that I'm cool with her. When we were leaving the pool today she suggested we get together sometime and I agreed that would be awesome.
I'm so glad. I really missed her.
