  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I have two options there. 1. Pizza Hut, which I'll pass on. I've worked in their kitchen, it's absolutely disgusting. and 2. the local place... which I order from every other time I'm at a loss.

IJWTS have you tried doing some volunteer work to see what you might be interested in doing for a career? It's also a good way to network to find a job. :thumbsup:

IJWTS-I agree. My sister volunteering led to a part time job and networking contacts for future jobs. I am volunteering now which has helped me to learn new skills and build networking contacts. It also looks really good on a resume because it shows you are willing do things even if not paid, but also it helps shrink resume gaps.

IJWTS-That is my next step as well. I have been putting applications and such around and just haven't heard anything back yet. I have some other ideas and plans to try with as well but volunteer work is something I will be doing in a matter of time. It was my plan when I got here anyways.

IJWTS - Hello from the Poconos! Right now, I'm sitting behind the wheel of my parents' SUV, parked behind a cabin with wireless, surfing the web on my MacBook Air. Unfortunately, I forgot the cat food at home, and my car has a dead battery. Other than that, the past few days have been relaxing. I've spent a lot of time sketching by the lake, and practicing on my trombone and electric bass.
