  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

IJWTS-I'm so excited. Apparently, the state senators wanted to give me a birthday present. They passed a state smoking ban! Now, it's up to the house--don't fail me now, congresswomen and congressmen. I know that some don't like smoking bans, but as someone with several family members who have cystic fibrosis or asthma, this is a great thing IMO.

whats wrong?

The fact that I think my eyesight is getting worse and that sometimes I see bright, blue spots in my vision...(thats rare though).

I am also hoping to see the optician about my eye ptosis (basically my eye muscles are weaker than normal so the eyelid droops a little in both eyes ). Apparently that can affect vision so I am going to go to my optician and ask him if I can get surgery done on the eye muscles on the NHS.
