IJWTS- Last final is today. I already finished it about a week ago, but today I turn it in.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Predictably eccentric and honestly hypocritical
IJWTS that I think everyone who was posting in the spring/summer of 2010 should pick one favorite old thread to revive.
You know, for old times sake. I would attempt to turn this into a game of Annual Blast From the Past thing but I have an allergy related to starting threads. I just can't do it.
Other than if it involves Harry Potter and telling people what they are. That was the only time that it worked out for me.

IJWTS - Read this in my Oswald Chambers devotional the other day. It really spoke to me personally.
Liberty and the Standards of Jesus
"Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free..." Galatians 5:1
"A spiritually-minded person will never come to you with the demand - "Believe this and that"; a spiritually-minded person will demand that you align your life with the standards of Jesus. We are not asked to believe the Bible, but to believe the One whom the Bible reveals (see John 5:39-40). We are called to present liberty for the conscience of others, not to bring them liberty for their thoughts and opinions. And if we ourselves are free with the liberty of Christ, others will be brought into that same liberty - the liberty that comes from realizing the absolute control and authority of Jesus Christ.
Always measure your life solely by the standards of Jesus. Submit yourself to His yoke, and His alone; and always be careful never to place a yoke on others that is not of Jesus Christ. It takes God a long time to get us to stop thinking that unless everyone sees things exactly as we do, they must be wrong. That is never God's view. There is only one true liberty - the liberty of Jesus at work in our conscience enabling us to do what is right.
Don't get impatient with others. Remember how God dealt with you - with patience and with gentleness. But never water down the truth of God. Let it have its way and never apologize for it. Jesus said, "Go...and make disciples..." (Matt. 28:19), not, "Make converts to your own thoughts and opinions."

IJWTS- I turned my paper in and now I'm done. Now the real waiting begins as I wait for grades to be posted. I know for sure I have at least two A's... hopefully. Maybe. I don't know.

I remember when I was afraid of thunderstorms, then I moved to the plains and now get annoyed when I get a Severe Thunderstorm Warning alert, and think "why is this notification worthy?".

Sigh. It's been one of those things that I've been contemplating for the longest time in my life. I know that I have no right over this, however.
I wanted to quit life for the longest time. There. I said it. I felt so worthless and tired of living that I wanted to quit.
But I've come too far to quit. Even if I end up at some low end job, I'll have to be happy with it because I'm blessed with whatever I got here.
It's been the longest journey holding myself up.
