CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

They do! Is it wrong that I get super excited when I meet a child who is just a child and not 4 year old who has been exposed to way too many things that are not developmentally appropriate? I just think there are ways of doing it but when they don't fully understand something... Okay I'm totally going on a pointless rant.

IJWTS - Was reading The Purpose Driven Life today and a few sentences really stuck out with me that I wanted to share.
"The Bible tells us, "God is love." It doesnt say God has love. He IS love. Love is the essence of God's character. There is perfect love in the fellowship of th Trinity, so God didnt need to create us.. He wasn't lonely. But He wanted to create us in order to express His love."
I know we are all called to do "God's Will", and that we all have a purpose, and we're to all share the gospel. But honestly I felt very convicted after reading those sentences. God is the meaning of love, it's why we have it. And we are to show love to others so they will know God and know what the true love is.

IJWTS the other day I told Mother that I wanted a pet tarantula so I could call him Webster. She simply gave me a funny look and told me she was worried about me.
I'm always amused when she 'worries' about me.
