  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

IJWTS I wish there were a mood emoticon thingy called 'zippedeedoodah zippedeedey'.

IAWTS I found a pair of shoes I forgot I'd bought in a box under my bed and they are HIDEOUS. What possessed me?

IAAAAAAAWTS I saw a cat with 3 legs :( It was hopping about at a good rate though.

IJWTS-Either cats have become a lot more social than I remember or they just really like me. While I was living in my own apartment (most of my adult life), I wasn't really around cats much, if ever. Growing up, though, my mother had a cat (I loved that guy), as did my grandmother and aunts. None of the cats that I grew up around seemed to care about human affection. My mother's cat, Smokey, would put up with me, though. He was the strong, silent type, but I could tell he loved me. :D

Anyway, now cats love me and want my attention/affection constantly. My aunt has two cats and they constantly follow me, mew at me, and give me rubbies (rub their bodies against me). The one that looks like a skinny Maine Coon (I'm convinced it's half Maine Coon, but my aunt's not sure, since her sister rescued the cat from the street) seems to be particularly fond of me. And I was staying with a family friend for a few weeks and her cats loved me, too.

It's crazily different than my childhood experiences with cats. I don't know. Maybe I give off an animal friendly vibe/scent now because dogs respond really well to me, too. Dogs have always liked me, though.

IJWTS that I can't sleep. Obviously, since i'm still on here, at 2:02am, and yes I have tried shutting off the computer and lying in darkness. Hurrah.
IAJWTS that i've recently been tagged in a photo that perfectly illustrates what happens when someone used to low calorific intakes and high exercise outputs reverses the situation. Oh yes. Awesome.
