If you need prayer . . .

I am in need of prayer. Thank you for this thread. I am lost in a maze of unrest. I am at a turning point in my life. Empty nest, struggling adult children, a professional that cannot find a job, financial insecurity, faith issues,marital issues, to sum it up, I don't know where I belong anymore. Please ask our Good Lord to reveal His Will for me. I'm not sure that He hears me anymore or is it I can't hear Him. After coming to this forum my faith is on rocky terrain. I was raised very Catholic and because I am divorced from my physically abusive husband and remarried I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior and believed that God still loved me. I have been reading Catholic posts here and by their standards I am not saved. Do I leave my dear husband because I am in sin? Please God. let me know how I can please You! Please God, I want to hear You.

Rest assured that He hears, He cares, and He is working on your behalf even though you can't see it right now. Jesus loves you.

Take a deep breath. Faith is a virtue and an action. You are asking for prayer and you care what God has to say. If that doesn't show faith then I don't know what does.

I was raised very Catholic and because I am divorced from my physically abusive husband and remarried I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior and believed that God still loved me.

Jesus has never and will never stop loving you. He died even while we were yet sinners. He knows every fault you have and yet loves you anyway. Not because of what you have done but because of who He is. And I praise God you had the strength to leave your first husband. Divorce is horrible but no one has a right to physical abuse their wife. You did the right thing.

I have been reading Catholic posts here and by their standards I am not saved.

You have professed to be a believer. No longer are you bound by Catholic standards. You are bound to Christ. Jesus' standard is the only one that matters. I suggest that you read the book of John prayerfully and ask for God to reveal Himself to you as he truly is and not as you think he is or have been taught he is.

Do I leave my dear husband because I am in sin?

Even if you were in sin, which from your post, I don't see that you are, how would leaving your husband help? Don't let (false) guilt destroy your relationship with your husband. A wrong will not make a right.

Please God. let me know how I can please You! Please God, I want to hear You.

Praying for you. RELAX! Jesus loves you more than you can fathom. Don't let your emotions get the best of you. Breath and trust that He has you in His hands. Trust that your sins cannot stop God from loving you. Your sins are not stronger than He is. They have no power over Him and as you are in Christ as a believer, they also have no power over you. You are made righteous through the blood of Christ,there are no conditions except your acceptacne of that fact. One step at a time. Cleave to your husband. Show him the love of Christ and maybe start a gratitude journal to write down even the tiniest things you can be grateful for, just the tiniest glimpse of God's blessings and then you will find that He really is working all around you and guiding your life, for the steps of a righteous man (or woman) are ordered.

Thank you.. a single dad Lindsay wrote to me on face book asking for prayer so I bring this to you here.. thanks.. kinda spreading it around right now.. but I know how much families can be broken apart.. His ex and himself have a son... and they all live in the same city and she wants to leave cause she cannot get work.. and he is afraid he will lose his son whom he adores.. please pray this all works out and Lindsay is led through this.. he is a believer and it is a thrill to intercede for this precious family.. GOD bless you for praying for our needs.. and those we bring to you..

praying that God will watch over these three, and that Jehovah Jireh, Our Provider, will indeed cause everything to open up, to be revealed, and recalled to memory, so that what comes to pass will be the work of God and not of men or of satan.

I ask you pray for my friend I call him chief. He is a retired air force base chief. I haven't spoken to him in a while but today I was compelled to drive onto his street. I found him standing out side, we caught up for a minute. Then he told me his daughter had cancer tumors in her brain and his wife is being treated for cancer as well. He has been running to and from doctors daily and is under a lot of strain.I offered to pray with him but he avoided my offer and told me he was born Catholic. I am praying for his wife and daughter but I am praying for his salvation as well although he could be saved not for me to judge. I know god put me there for a reason today, thank you all God bless

Also, most of us spend a lot of time debating in the debate forum and the main forum. Perhaps it would be wise to handle this issue by actively working in the spiritual as well as the natural. As tate4242 I participated in this discussion forum quite a bit five to seven years ago. I just shake my head at the stupidity that I was into back then.....which is a really really good sign that the prayers of everybody here....for others are being powerfully answered. It is wonderful when we can look back at what we wrote only five years ago and just shake our heads at how misled we were back then....that means we are being guided more rapidly and powerfully by God!

Speaking of prayer I am contemplating running for public office at the municipal level again next month! It is that time again here in Canada. I desperately need his guidance to write something up that will be truly useful to people in this area....but through the internet even be of value to people in other areas of the world......

The following quotation from my 2008 campaign has been of value in quite a few discussions and during the campaign I was given the statistic that annually as much as 293 cubic miles of ice are ADDED to the central region of Antarctica, which is the major factor that has protected New Orleans and Florida and Bangladesh and other coastal communities...so far!!!!!

Hi! I am new here (and new to WoF generally), but would like to ask for prayer please.

I am going into hospital on Tuesday (4th September) to have my gall bladder removed. It is the first time I have had surgery and am a little anxious. It will be day surgery, so in and out the same day, but would like some prayer support please. Thank you.

Father, we come to you with praise and thanksgiving, in the mighty name of your Son Jesus Christ, and we lift up your precious child Salop and pray for immediate recovery with no ill affects whatsoever from the surgery and anaesthetics, and that you keep him and protect him, and comfort him as he lies there in hospital while the surgeons expertly and efficiently perform what is necessary to alleviate his condition.
