If you had a supported reason for using up the Sun, would you do it?

I understand that you will feel a natural tendency to search for and provide your own intuition about what such a reason could be, so I will not impose my own ideas, but suffice it to say: I feel that no matter what the reason was, it would be a sin to do so.

We were speaking of a hypothetical. I don't have a currently supported reason to use up the Sun. But if I did I wouldn't let your fictional characters stop me from doing what was right.

Ummm... yer wrong. Satan does not even touch the sun... One only needs to read Revelation to see that God is the one who will cause 1/3 of light levels to decrease (i.e. the sun, stars. Yes, I read a reason about it in the Left Behind series, and it's a very good interpretation.). Dude, are you REALLY playing a joke on all us? Or are you merely misguided? Use reason, as well as the heart. Too much heart blinds one to the truth.
