This is something that I seriously want to do if God ever allows it:

To open a combination no-kill animal shelter/kennel, and take in all kinds of animals, not just dogs and cats. Would make sure that people knew it was a Christian business as well.

I'm also very crafty (not sneaky, I love crafts lol) and I'd love to open my own little shop someday with stuff I've made.

I've had a dream for a while to open a huge craft shop that sells all sorts of different crafts. I started planning a while back to start an online business selling polymer clay to start off with. My first task was supposed to be to learn PHP so I could develop the website first but I haven't had a chance between studying and working.
I don't want whatever I decide to do, if I do, to become a fulltime thing, I love my job and I don't want to give it up.

Inkabink reminded of something I'd like to do but not as a business. I'd love to have a huge property and I would take in animals that people don't want anymore so they wouldn't leave them on the side of the road or kill them. I'd go and collect them myself so they had no excuse for getting rid of the animals by any means other than giving them to me.

You two should go into business together like me and traingosorry! :D You two have very similar dreams
I already opened a business, a multimedia studio with some friends ... and we did a lot of wedding work (filming photos etc) so if you had your business you could arrange for us to show up and capture it all

A really chill, kick back board shop.

I used to hang at one when I was a kid. I was sponsored by them and we would just skate down to the shop, they had a couch and tv and stuff and all us kids would just hang there watching skate videos, then go skate, grab food and drinks, come back to the shop and just hang out. Great fun. I would totally open a surf/skate/snowboard shop and have the same atmosphere. Get the kids out of the bad stuff and into good fellowship while doing what they love. :D

I would probably also really enjoy opening a Lewis N Clarkish type store.
What would you sell in this Lewis N Clarkish type store? :D

If you could open your own business...

What would it be?

I'd start a wedding/event planning business and eventually expand it into store with unique wedding/event props and supplies to rent and/or purchase.

Have given thought time to time on a security business - one that is diversified nd located in a shop fro walk in customers. home/business security needs as in alarms, sensors, bonded installers, personal security needs, background checks, private investigations (to include the good ol' video tape the cheating spouse), and so much more. would also include working with isntructors to teach self defence classes at night in a back room or something. as well as armed escort, body guard service.

kinda like a "one stop" security shop business

just some thoughts I have played with after i got out of the Army 8 yrs ago.
