If I can ask God one question?
I would ask him, why did you plant the forbidden fruit tree? Did he know that someone was going to eat it? Were we given freewill before mankind was created? Why plant such a tree?
This is not doctrine I want you to accept.
This is just the way I think about it.
Only God knows the truth.
God is the Tree of Life - He walked in the garden with Adam and Eve.
Satan is the tree of knowledge of good and evil. He was also in the garden.
Eve had never heard a lie until the devil caused her to doubt God's love.
He is the source of all lies. He sowed doubt in her mind by his lies.
Eve had to choose between good and evil. She made the wrong choice.
Adam was not there to protect her. That was his role.
Eve was made with a greater deposit of trust to cooperate.
She trusted what the devil said. She had never been tested.
Free will is about choices. Eve was not a preprogrammed robot.
She made the wrong choice.
Because Adam and Eve were one, he shared her fate.
He chose to eat the fruit when she gave it to him.
She did not force him to eat it. He chose to eat.
He was not there to protect her when the enemy came.
They both knew they had disobeyed God.
They both hid from him.
There are many things in our houses that can hurt our children.
We teach them not to touch them and we expect them to listen.
We put them in our houses because we do not expect evil to happen.
Sometimes it does and houses burn down and children are killed.
Parents do not think when they are furnishing their house
"I will put this in my house to test my children."
My children burned the rug many times before they learned
not to touch or run near the heater.
This is just the way God has helped me understand what happened to Eve.
I love the scripture you chose. Love in Christ - Abi
