so if you intentionally put yourself in a situation that you know will result in your death and do nothing to stop your death from happening, is that suicide?
again I ask
amen to this! fully agree with you, telling the truth is the answer, telling about a loving GOD who send JESUS to us....It angers me how hypocritical some you fundamentalists really are. I can’t believe you people use lies to incite fear into the most struggling of Christians. There is nothing in the bible that says a suicide will go to hell, absolutely nothing! Yet, many religious fundamentalists make up filthy lies as a way of somehow “preventing” people.
Drop the fear tactics and start telling the truth!!!
Go to google and type in amightywind and you will find info about her ministry. She is an apostle of God Yahveh.Never heard of her? Who is she?
Answer me this. If committing suicide is not against Christ, and by doing so you can go to Heaven right this second, what on earth is stopping you?It angers me how hypocritical some you fundamentalists really are. I'm not in error, because I never said it was not an evil thing to commit suicide, in fact I agreed that it is a sin two pages back. You do error in saying it is not evil to commit suicide, tell me this, where in Scriptures does it say you can ? It doesn't, and your right it doesn't say you can't either, but here is the Truth, what is the condition of the heart of a person who commits suicide, is that condition one of Christ or one of SELF. that is where this sin is.
That is between them and God.Again, answer me this Question: What is the condition of the heart of the person who commits suicide ?
Is Christ going to condemn them for having an ilness? Are they full of joy because they have Christ in there life, or are they full of sadness and despair because of the circumstances they are in ?
Who's to say they didn't? Surely you realize that it's not as simple as "turning to Christ" or to other christians, and your problem gets solved.Question: Those who commmit suicide, why did they not turn to Christ ? Why did they not seek help from other Christians ?
That's a horrible way to look at people's lives and problems. Is a sexually molested junkie supposed to just "turn to Christ and deal with it"? How about those with mental illnesses? How about all those who can't even get out of bed because of sheer anxiety, who've met no understanding frmo church and no real help in pills and therapists?i mean lets face it, the only reason a person commits suicide is because they are dealing with something, that they think they can't handle, and there is no other way to escape from it, therefore the only solution they can think of is ending their own life, so they no longer have to deal with what ever it is they are dealing with, it is merely an escape, instead of dealing with the issues that is causing this turmoil
All sins were paid for over 2000 years ago. It's not like you'll go to hell tonight if you curse someone and forget to repent before you go to bed. Also, i would like to point out, the only time a sin can be forgiven, is AFTER it is committed,
If this is how you feel, you should seek help. Talk with someone. Your life isn't supposed to be so depressing. I also assume you have family that cares about you, and perhaps you have dreams you would like to fulfill?Answer me this. If committing suicide is not against Christ, and by doing so you can go to Heaven right this second, what on earth is stopping you?
i mean, if killing myself is a ticket to Heaven, then i assure you with no doubts whatsoever i would off myself right this second
So you don't have Christ in your heart then, since you can't think of a reason not to die right now?Again, answer me this Question: What is the condition of the heart of the person who commits suicide ? Are they full of joy because they have Christ in there life, or are they full of sadness and despair because of the circumstances they are in ? If they have Christ in their hearts, they would in fact have joy
Answer me this. If committing suicide is not against Christ, and by doing so you can go to Heaven right this second, what on earth is stopping you?
i mean, if killing myself is a ticket to Heaven, then i assure you with no doubts whatsoever i would off myself right this second, why on earth stay another second on this planet, so satan can continue to tempt me ?
You do error in saying it is not evil to commit suicide, tell me this, where in Scriptures does it say you can ? It doesn't, and your right it doesn't say you can't either, but here is the Truth, what is the condition of the heart of a person who commits suicide, is that condition one of Christ or one of SELF. that is where this sin is.
Again, answer me this Question: What is the condition of the heart of the person who commits suicide ? Are they full of joy because they have Christ in there life, or are they full of sadness and despair because of the circumstances they are in ? If they have Christ in their hearts, they would in fact have joy, even in the midst of there tribulations, throughout the entire Bible, there are many examples of people who are persecuted yet still have the joy of Christ in them, no matter what there circumstances.
At the end of a persons life, their heart, is what will be judged, whether that heart is of Christ or is full of self. A person who commits suicide, no longer deems fit to live life any longer, and does not turn to Christ, but turns to DEATH as an answer to what they are going through, and in this, it is an ungodly act, therefore sinful.
Dont twist my words, I never said committing suicide is ok by God. But I think God is going to be a lot more lenient on the person who suffered mental illness. Most people who suicide suffer from chronic depression, borderline personality disorder, bipolar and other mental illness. There is a chemical unbalance in the brain and there is instability in their mood and behavior.
God does not send these people straight to hell, like what some people are saying. He will judge on the situation, and motives of a believer who committed suicide.
I'm not in error, because I never said it was not an evil thing to commit suicide, in fact I agreed that it is a sin two pages back.
That is between them and God.
Is Christ going to condemn them for having an ilness?
No offense, DiscipleDave,
but I really hope suicidal people won't come to you for help, because this kind of thinking will only bring them further down.
Who's to say they didn't? Surely you realize that it's not as simple as "turning to Christ" or to other christians, and your problem gets solved.

You talk about suicide like it's some sort of easy way out, as if it's easy to kill yourself, that those who do it simply don't care about their loved ones.
All sins were paid for over 2000 years ago. It's not like you'll go to hell tonight if you curse someone and forget to repent before you go to bed.
No one is saying that committing suicide isn't against Christ. I don't believe God ever wants anyone to commit suicide. I'm not saying it's 'ok' to commit suicide.
But, if it's true that I'll still go to heaven even if I commit suicide I would not kill myself right now. I think it's sad that you would do that. I love my friends and family and the life that God has given me.
God wants us to have an abundant life here on earth and enjoy what He has given us.
What is the difference between that person that does commit suicide and you, who states you'd commit suicide right now if it was a ticket to heaven?
What does that say for the condition of your heart? Do you not have the joy in Christ you talk about? If so, then why would you say that?
The thing is, none of us knows that persons heart. Only God does. He knows what has driven them to that point in their life. I believe God's mercy is a lot bigger than many of us realize.
And you are correct, it is not OK to commit suicide.
Jn:12:25: He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
If as a Christian, one would love this life, then i would question that persons walk with Christ, for it is written of Christians that they will be hated, and persecuted for righteousness sake, Jesus says marvel not if the world hates you, if then you love life and the world loves you, then you are a friend of the world, and the world loves its own. A True Christian, wants Christ to come right NOW and take them from this wicked generation, even as Lot left sodom. A True Christian is waiting for the return of the Lord, that He comes quickly and not tarry. IF then a person loves life, these are they that do not desire to leave right now, they love life, and desire to live it as long as possible. There is nothing greater in this life that we live, then to worship Jesus Christ, it is written:
Phil:1:21: For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
A Christian should think and feel this way. If i die, i will be with the One that I worship, if i live, i am among the filth of the world, if i die, i will be in God's kindom, if i live i am in satans kindom, for he is the god of this world
2Cor:4:4: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
So please do not feel sad for me, because i am right this second prepared to leave EVERYTHING to be with Christ, even loved ones, and this abundant life the Lord has given me, still would rather be with Him NOW, then to have an abundant life for 80 more years.
True, Yet He would also desire us to be with Him NOW, then to have that abundant life.
The difference is, i KNOW it is against God to commit suicide. The difference between one who commits suicide and myself, is that he/she is dead and i am still living. Here is the biggy, IF it was a ticket to Heaven by committing suicide, i would in fact do it right now. If i have a million dollars and want to give it to you, and ask you if you want it now or 50 years from now, would you not want that great gift now ? If then God asks me do you want to come to Heaven right now, or many years from now, Guess what my answer will be. NOW, but those who love life, will actually have to think about it, How many RIGHT NOW want to go to Heaven, this second ? Those who truly desire to go to Heaven will not hessitate in the slightest to say RIGHT NOW. So then, back to what we were discussing, if IF committing suicide was in fact a way for me to get to Heaven, right now, you better believe i would do it in a heartbeat. HOWEVER, i know that suicide does NOT get a person to Heaven, but is an ungodly act, it is sinful, and is a sin you cannot repent of. It is not a way to get to Heaven, nor can one go to Heaven if they commit suicide, not choosing Christ.
i have the joy of Christ in me, which should i choose, having the joy of Christ in me, or being with Christ in His Kingdom in Heaven ? If i had the choice i would choose to be with Him in Heaven, and if ( IF ) suicide gets one to Heaven, then yes i would commit suicide to get to Heaven, ( IF ) that were possible. But i know full well suicide is not of God, and it is not a way for a person to get to Heaven, at all.
You say none of knows that persons heart, this is not True, for one's actions and thoughts reveal the condition of one's heart. Any person who commits suicide, that is to say, they desire to kill themself. It is written thou shalt not kill, i guess that only means Killing others, and not self. lol, thou shalt not kill, means thou shalt not kill, including your own self. A person who kills themself, has in fact killed, which is sinful. God desires no one to kill themself. it is not the will of God that someone is so depressed and so lacking faith and joy, and the peace of Christ, that they kill themself, to end their misery or their pain on this Earth, at the moment they die they are NOT living in the will of God, but in fact are living in their own will for themself. they have altogether not turned to Christ, if they would have Truly turned to Christ, they would know the Peace of Christ, and no matter what circumastance they are in, they would still have the peace of Christ, if in fact Christ was in them. Christ being in a flesh, would never allow that flesh to commit suicide. therefore the question then is this: Where is Christ when a person commits suicide ? If Christ was in that person, they would have Peace, and would not kill themself.
