  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Steezie, I suppose you are talking about fornication, and I suppose you are open to any points of view on your question. As a Christian, my point of view is that it is impossible to indefinitely abstain from sin (which would include fornication) without the power of the Holy Spirit, and that frustration and possible reprecussions generally accompany the battle against the human tendency to sin, particularly if the battle is faced without accessing that power. One of the main reasons Jesus died for us was to set us free from the power of sin, but we have to access that power through Him.

I'm pretty sure that Pagans are encouraged to have sex.

I'm pretty sure that everyone is...

From the biblical instruction to be fruitful and multiply, all the way to you buddy encouraging you to hook up with a woman at the bar.

Bible doesn't tell me to be fruitful, not sure what you mean by that.

Jewish law much? That is irrelevant, we are not a nation.

I have scripture that disagrees with you. What do you have?

Matthew 5:17-48 (New International Version)

The Fulfillment of the Law

17"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Exactly, that Law is love. Like Paul said, it's not time to marry as time is too short.

Except that is a law God gave to mankind, not just the Jews. Not all laws in the Old Testament are Jewish laws.

And as far as the end time being neigh, it has been that way for a couple hundred generations since Paul wrote what he did.
