Key verse:

1 Corinthians 3:16 " Know ye not that ye are the temple of God and that the spirit of God dwelleth in you?"

WE ARE THE BODY OF CHRIST...Have you ever just sat and thought about that statement? WE ARE THE BODY OF CHRIST!

In 1 Corinthians 3:16 it says that we are the temple of God. When I read this verse it got me to thinking, We are the body of christ. When christ came to earth what was he doing? He was whitnessing, he was preaching, he was reaching out to those who are lost. right? If we are the body of christ then why arent we doing the same thing? Why arent we whitnessing and reaching out to the lost?

Some people say " oh they will make fun of me if i do that!" People spat on, made fun of and even crucified Christ but did he give up? No he didnt! He kept on reaching and reaching! No matter how much they made fun of him he never stopped! Why cant we have the same attitude?

Yes we may whitness to people but what if we only whitness to those who are easy for us to whitness to? Christ paid too big of a price for us to pick and chose who comes to heaven. WE ARE THE BODY OF CHRIST! We should try our hardest to be like him. My goal is not only to miss hell but it is to make heaven with everyone I can bring with me! I want so badly to reach this world and you as a child of God should want the same thing!

YOU ARE THE BODY OF CHRIST!

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.

Here's more verses to add fuel to your spiritual zeal...

1 Corinthians 12:12-18 For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body--whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free--and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. For in fact the body is not one member but many. If the foot should say, "Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body," is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear should say, "Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body," is it therefore not of the body? If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling? But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased.

2 Corinthians 5:14-15 For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.

Colossians 3:16-17 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

Kurtygirl thanks for shareing that It did get me thinking about the body of christ, if one hurts we all hurt if one has joy we all have joy, I pray and I know that one day that joy will be far more than any hurts.

I am Glad it made you think. The discussion kind of all came together when i was listening to the casting crowns CD that i bought. I just had to share my thoughts and feelings about the situation.
