No, it came from a Protestant site. It was a survey on how well Protestants knew the teachings of the early Protestant reformers.JJB said:Have you got a site for the early reformers? I'm assuming it came from either a website that is RCC or an RCC book.

The sources of the quotes were provided. You can look up and read the writing left by the reformers themselves to see what their position on Mary was.
Oh he didnt say this in Matthew 16?BigChrisfilm said:neither.
Jesus said:18 And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Are you a born again believer who protests the teachings of the Catholic Church? Are you are your own authority? Or rather the bible is your authority?BigChrisfilm said:I'm sorry, but I am neither a Protostant, or a Catholic. All this protostant talk means nothing to me.
BigChrisfilm said:Do you have any idea what kind of church he was talking about?
Right the Church, His Church is not a human institution but a divine one. Why do you think it survived all these centuries?BigChrisfilm said:John 18:36
36Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.
Jesus said:19And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose upon earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven.

(c)atholics (KATAHOLOS) are united in belief.
The real question is... who are the real (c)atholics.
Forgive me....
Enlighten us...who? But please provide a reputable source for your answer.BigChrisfilm said:No, the question is, who are the real Christians.
Benedicta00 said:Then show us Chris. You have got to be able to back up what you say by citing for us reputable source of document history.
The bible did no float down from the sky, it came from somewhere, tell me where did it come from?
Anybody can pop up and write something down and say it was from God. But what do we have to verify the writings did indeed come from God?
We have the faith that Jesus left to His apostles that was passed down through the apostles succession. Thats how. The faith was entrusted to them and protected from error by the Holy Spirit.
It was they; the Church who was able to verify what writings was inspired by God and which ones were not. The Church put these writing in canon for YOU so YOU would know which ones were true and so you would not fall prey to the erroneous writings.
If you trust the Churchs judgement on the bible (and you do, every time you open it) then surly you should trust her on everything else.
You do have a creative way of taking verses out of context and applying them to suit your personal beliefs. Ill give you an A for creativity.BigChrisfilm said:"Then why are they 2 billion Catholics worldwide?"
Luke 13:23-24
23Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, 24Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
