I tell you why, because if she was sinless then Jesus didn't die for her. Scripture tells us that he died for all mankind. Do you propose to make of Mary something more than ordinary human?

He did tell the rest of us… he speaks to us through His Church, not through the bible exclusively. The bible is just one of the ways he speaks to us and again, the bible came to us through the Church.

If the bible ever contradicts any teaching of the Church then point it out to me. The Church teaches us, the bible is what backs the Church up. It's not the other way around.

We do not etch out an image of something and call it God.

If you are referring to icons and statues of Mary, we do not call her our God.

She wasn’t a graven image either. She was a person and we can rightfully make a image of her. Just the way you can rightfully take a photograph of someone you know and love and hang it up.

As to the virgin birth... That was Jesus not Mary, who very soon after giving birth to Jesus stopped being a virgin.
I would hesitate to say that anyone other than Jesus was sinless. The bible only says Jesus was without sin.
Yes Abraham was credited with righteousness, and so were a few others. Mary was not sinless at her birth. No human baby, begotten by the normal means of conjoining of sperm and egg neither can nor ever has been born sinless. Every new born baby (apart from Jesus) is a sinner. There are no innocents.
You, me, Mary, Joseph, Paul, Stephen Hawking, Pope John, we all need Christ as our saviour. Church dogma is not scripture. Scritpure is scripture. Read that carefully.
Read carefully. It is Christ who has the power and authority of God, no-one else.

If you disagree with catholic teaching, fine but please reframe from calling catholics silly and foolish. It’s rude and unnecessary.

We can easily say the same about Protestants, that they are foolish for falling for the rebellion of the reformation against the Church but that kind of talk is unchristian and pointless.
