Why should I take your word for it? There are plenty of other religions saying the same thing... see my point?

I agree that those anwers are not satisfying at all for those who are
searching.Before I try to answer your question ,can you tell me if you
live in the states .I need to know if you had access to different Christian
groups growing up? What was your situation at homewith your parents for example ?
The poster who said you cannot know God because He is beyond our means as creatures on the earth to know[I paraphrase here] is not entirely true.God reveals Himself to certain individuals and not to others,that is what revelation is about,and is reserved for those who
love Him and follow Him without 'scientific proof'.

God can be proven scientifically and in some cases already has but they eaither will not admit to it for fear of being thought of as looney or they think its somthing they don't understand yet. But yes God can be seen in very advanced forms of quantum mechanics.

If people were given a bunch of religions with no background I believe they would choose the correct one, given that it is correct because God makes perfect logical sense.

Proving God exists scientfically would be rather hard.
Why dosen't he just appear before us for the whole world to see?

But those who look see God everywhere.
It is more like getting to be a pilot. It is not so easy .
If you are not prepared to trust the trainer pilot you willl never fly,and
then you have to pass endless tests until you get a licence. If you wish
to be with an airline there are more tests.
[As an aside here I bet not many pilots are atheists,especially advanced ones .]
God does not do tricks .If you want eternal life with Him you are going to
have to read what He said .There are many wonderful biblical scholars of which
I am not one, who make it easy reading , and popular like writers like Phillip Yancey
''The Jesus I never knew''.
It won't matter how much scientific fact you have, if you are not moved
by the figure of J.C.... Indeed it will be a hindrance if that is the case, because love
and Faith and Hope are the keys. It is very consoling to be
given prove of another kind ,but that is a bonus,and is received through
the Holy Spirit,who reveals certain mysteries to individuals,as well as protecting those who,
have Love and Hope.... Faith can come last, to certain
'intellectual /left brained types, and the apostle Thomas was known as
doubting Thomas,because he could not 'believe' Christ had risen,until he put his fingers
in the wounds in Christs hands ,after His resurrection.
As we let go of barriers to belief,we find God is there .It's we who block out Him,
like closing shutters against the sun .Open the shutters.

I know of a website that contains scientific studies that show cases of divine healing see WCDN. I also have case studies showing prision ministry reduces offence rates to 17.3% on average compared to 50% reoffence rates for those who leave the study. Which in my opinion shows a power at work in them, not a philosophy. I also have had a life filled with God experiences, see Know God Personally for examples. All thse things in my opinion are proof.
