The problem is that time after time much of what the Bible claims has been shown to be wrong.
Only on paper.

Interesting comment.

So scientists are gearing up to use our own Sword against us to determine our sanity?

As a child, I found a rock that was the perfect size and shape to fit to my right hand when closed over it a certain way (I used to be obsessed with collecting rocks between the ages of 7-10). It took me over a week of efforts on the playground to dig it out, and I have it to this day. It no longer fits as perfectly in my hand as it used to, given that my hand has grown since then, but I took a lot of joy out of my strange rock, and I have no intention of ever getting rid of it. Not only does it fit well in my hand, but it is a color similar to my skin, and the veins in the rock look like actual veins and arterioles, being pale blue and pinkish red. If I didn't know the rock was solid quartz with veins of different colored quartz, I'd probably want to know what it was and ask people about it. I think this thread is more like that than anything else.
Perhaps ... if you're willing to have it busted up ... you could have it made into a ring or a pendant?

Nah, I got joy out of it's shape as well as its physical appearance. I don't think I would even want it polished. Besides, I hate wearing jewelry. I find it uncomfortable.

Maybe you can have it framed or something?

Wrong, in reality. Much of what you do every day is based upon the Bible being wrong. The obvious one is if you do anything at all that relates to petroleum.

Interesting comment.

So far it seems to be correct.

So scientists are gearing up to use our own Sword against us to determine our sanity?

No, when people deny reality they show that there is something wrong with their sanity. Scientists do not need to "gear up" to show this at all. Of course if a person's insanity does no harm to others there is not much point in trying to correct it.

Do you deny the reality of a realm of angels?

2 Kings 6:17 And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

What about those who do?

You use such poor language. There is no need to deny something that has not been shown to exist. There is no more evidence for your "realm of angels" than there is for a "realm of pixies" or even for a realm of "unicorns that fly via flatulence". If a person believes in something and wants others to agree with him the burden of proof is upon that person.

You use such poor language.
Why?

Because I want to know if you deny it or not?

Some do, you know.

If you're neutral on the subject, then answer NO to my question.

Don't make it look like I'm employing "poor language."

As a very tactile autistic person, the idea of not being able to weirdly rub my special rock with ease disturbs me. It isn't a decoration; while some people might think it looks neat like I do, it would be a lie to say that it is conventionally attractive.

I normally just keep it in a drawer, and take it out whenever I happen to have it cross my mind, hold it a little, and put it back.

Because it is an extremely poorly worded question. It has the appearance that you asked a reasonable question, which you didn't.

Some do, you know.

Nope, you were using poor language. If you don't understand that, and you have no excuse with all of the time you have been here, that is not my fault.

They are almost at 90 degrees to each other and that is not common.

What do you mean when you say 90 degrees angel are "not common" - do you mean not common in rocks or not common as a patter? It looks like a rather common pattern here.

He does not have to. Word games, as you do here and elsewhere, is poor language (i.e. poor rhetoric).

I'm really more sad about the prospect of breaking my rock....

You don't have to break the rock apart, only expose some fresh rock. It is quite big sample you have so it should be possible to chip a or drill (with a circular saw) a piece out of it. But as already said, if you find one, your are likely to find more in the same place or uphill. I would try to locate the source if I was you - then you should have plenty of rock you can break. :)

Also, I guess some, like me, are curious to know what the source looks like, so if your able to find it, please post some more pictures.

I like that source. I see that it is common enough to have a name, but it is not observed in two many places. His seems to be a bit different from these surface tessellations since the cracks have been filled with quartz deposits, but it could very easily be a related phenomenon.

So if the source can be located this is a very special find? And would it have any scientific value?

An all or nothing philosophy in regards to the Bible will eventually result in the Bible being good for nothing for a sane person.

An all or nothing policy in regard to virtually anything is most of the time not good for much at all - except for creating conflicts.

I can't say. I know far too little of the geology of the area and it has been way too many years since I did any real geological work myself.
