Well, it is a wife's duty to support her husband, but not necessarily financially.

Wow. I have such a long list of the qualities I believe God would want my spouse to have. I'll try and condense it.

1. A Christian, first and foremost.
2. Preferably involved in the ministry such as youth or music.
3. Being a virgin isn't important to me, but he must be striving for the utmost purity. Otherwise he will not understand, nor respect, my decision to save even a kiss for our wedding day.
4. He has to live on his own or at least have the financial means to move out and live on his own and support a wife.
5. He has to have a stable job to where I would be able to stay at home to raise and homeschool our children.
6. He has to understand that my doctors have advised me to not get pregnant. At first I was very upset that my health limits my ability to carry a pregnancy safely to full-term; however, God has laid a strong calling on my life to adopt children.
7. He has to be at least four inches taller than I am (I'm 5'5")
8. My family must approve of the relationship. I look to my parents to screen any potential suitor and I trust their godly intuition and wisdom when I'm in a relationship.
9. It is preferred that he have a strong relationship with both of his parents (unless one or both are deceased). I want a man with strong family values.
10. He must be Spirit filled and Spirit led.
11. He should be older than me and definitely more spiritually mature (so he may fill the God-commanded role of being the spiritual leader of our home).

What qualities would I like in a mate? Besides being female and Christian? Hmm..

Whatever that combination of qualities is that would enable her to love/put up with a recovering-hippie-musician-gamer-geek-librarian like me, I guess...
