(This subject comes up so much when I talk to both christian and non-christian friends.)

- Someone who's faith in God is an indepth part of who they are as a person.
- Has dreams and believes in them.
- In turn can believe in my dreams and supports them.
- Someone who loves me as much as I love him.
- Respects me and who I can respect.
- Someone who can love my family and friends as much as I do.
- Spontaneous and with a fun sense of romance (the little things!)
- Accepts me and love me as I am, with all my quirks, neuroses, and habits.
- Someone I can trust with all my heart and soul

i used to have a list on what i looked for in a dude..

Here is my description of my ideal mate:
1) Devoutly Catholic (or at least open to becoming devoutly Catholic)
2) Over 25 (I don't like 'em young)!
3) Attractive to me (and I am attracted to many different types of guys).
4) Non-abusive, either verbally, sexually, or physically.
5) Understands and appreciates Catholic doctrines concerning sex both outside and inside of marriage. Would not force me to compromise my stance on premarital sex, abortion, contraception, or sterilization (*this is important to me).
6) Appreciates my love for 80s music
7) Affectionate and tender- both in deed and word.
8) Someone who loves me for the person that I am.
9) Someone who does not detest children, and would not view them as a burden.
10) Someone who will help me get to Heaven, rather than drag me away from it.
11) Preferably, someone who has good relations w/ their family (although I'd never reject someone who came from an abusive home). I don't really have a good family, so...it'd be nice to have theirs!

I just thought I'd point this out, Rosa you said someone to help you get closer to Heaven. I don't understand what you mean. Closer to salvation or closer to God? There's a difference because the only one who gets you to heaven is Jesus. But it's more than getting to heaven, it's about having a personal relationship with Jesus in your life here on earth. Your future hubby could definitely help you grow in that relationship though. Maybe that's what you meant.

Like most men, I think these two are musts:
- Female and loves God above all things
- Green hair
- Loves cats (after all, I'm half cat)
- Enjoys video games
- Dislikes chocolate
- Reads (particularly the Bible)
- Hates sports with a deadly passion
- Doesn't drink (alcohol, other stuff is ok)
- Doesn't smoke
- Loves children (and cats)
- Doesn't watch TV
- Likes dancing

i'd like a godly man who:
- has NO MORE than 4 teeth
- ALWAYS leaves the toilet seat up
- doesn't mind a few insects in the house
- likes the fake plastic squirrels you afix to the side of the house
- likes the pink flamingos in the yard
- is fond of lanoleum flooring in flourescent orange (really brighten's up the place)
- is a raging alcoholic with a beer gut to prove it!
- only showers on the weekends...

Often wrong, but never in doubt
It's interesting to me how the women's lists seem to be longer, and more specific than those of the men. I figure that we men realize we aren't going to get what we want, anyway, so we might as well take what (who) we can get.

2. the tv remote no more than five inche
from their beer
3. the beer gut fat to move to their groin
4. Be able to avoid dead-end questions like, "does this make me look fat?"
5. A freeze gun for rowdy kids interrupting the football
6. a volume control for their mother & wife
7. undies they can wear 4 different ways for 4 different days
8. I think I'll stop her before everyone thinks I hate men.
