Idaho doesn't exist

I am going to summarily smash the errant theory that there exists, in fact, a state of Idaho.

- No one has ever observed Idaho.

- Cartographers have to put Idaho on the map or else they won't receive funding and will lose their job.

- They say potatoes come from Idaho, but I can buy potatoes at my local supermarket.

- I have drawn maps without Idaho on them.

So perhaps the Idahoists could now prove to me that Idaho exists against the mountains of evidence against it.

Idaho, being a political region, exists only in so far as there is a consensus among human beings to so designate a place.
There *is* a consensus that Idaho exists.
Therefore it does.

Even old New York was once New Amsterdam.
Why they changed it I can't say.

I happen to know from personal experience that potatoes are grown in Washington, Wisconsin, and North Dakota. Therefore, they do not need to be grown in "Idaho."

Yes... these so-called Idaho maps have changed over the years... why it used to be a "territory," and didn't even become a state until 1889! Therefore, Idahoism is unreliable "man-science."

But of course what this photo represents either does not really exist, or else a Big Bang caused it to come into being merely as a subjective entity (although still far more objective than if the Creator created it according to an intelligent design).

Perhaps Idaho is like faerie, it exists all the time but only occasionally is perceived by humans.

My father turned into a Idahoist late in life after seeing "My own private Idaho", even if the movie explicitly said it was a "work of fiction". My brother told me to just let it be, at least he seemed happy until the end.

yeah, but i bet you haven't been to south Dakota. Nearest i can figure, no on has actually seen south dakota first hand. It's obviously an elaborate fiction.
