Hello! I'm not sure if there's anyone here who remembers me, but I used to post here around eight years ago (geez, I can't believe it was that long ago.) In any case, I'm doing very well and always pray that everyone here is too. I'm posting here because my parents are soon moving to another state, and we're all downsizing, and I have a number of icons I want to pass on to other people whom I know will love and venerate them. To clarify, I want to give them away, not sell them.

These include a Russian-style icon of the Trinity bought in Greece, a large icon of the Romanov passion-bearers, a medium-large icon with scenes from the life of St. Mary of Egypt, a large icon of St. Margaret, a small icon of St. Mary of Egypt, two small icons of St. Margaret, a small icon of St. Herman of Alaska, and a medium-small icon of the Theotokos.

I hope posting this here isn't breaking any TAW rules, as I just realized it might be kind of strange, but as I used to know a lot of people here and don't have anyone's email address, I thought this would be an okay way to let people know I want to give away icons. If this isn't an appropriate post to make, I will understand and take it down.

I would be happy to take them, restore them and put them in a safe place but I already have all the ikons I need.

It's nice to meet you. I think I remember you a little bit, but that's because I lurked for a little while after leaving.

The only icons I'm giving away are the ones I was keeping at my parents' house while living in other places (as I do now, as well.)

It's my pleasure. I hope you'll stick around, at least for friendship's sake.

I went by the username DanHead back then. People think I'm rambunctious now, they should have known me then. I was a Lutheran then (until about 6 years ago), and I made Luther's polemical writing seem like a love poems.

I just emailed you about the small St. Mary and/or the small St. Herman ones. If you get other requests, please spread the "wealth".

Ha! I have since graduated from college, worked for two years, and got a master's degree, so it's been some time. I remember you, too, though! I hope everything is well.

But I was thinking... Monica is right. I think that if you could donate them to your church, on the condition that they be given to catechumens, or the poor who cannot afford to buy them for themselves, that would be an even greater blessing than to receive them myself.

I agree that this is a good idea, come catechumens or your Church could probably make the best use of them.
