Icon corner?

A question - if you print out an icon are you supposed to go and have that blessed as well?

If you mount the icon and pray before it the icon should be blessed. It is prayer which makes an icon an icon.

Question for you all: Where do you get your icons? Do you buy them yourself, or do people give them to you or what?

Most of mine are gifts but I have bought a few...

I don't really have an icon corner, I'm going to set one up pretty soon. Right now, I have my icons just spread randomly around my room. There is one section of wall that I have that I want to make as my official icon corner but it will take some rearanging of stuff in my room.

Hmm, I just thought that I really should move my bed so I can use my icon corner like I used to.

This would be a lot of work for me as it would mean moving my computer desk and bed to opposite sides of the room, ie, computer desk where bed is and bed where computer desk is.

Ahhhh, but I do love moving furniture. It's the little impatient 5 year old in me .

My prayer life is currently down the drain though, I do try to pray myself to sleep.
Not the best practice I know but I feel happy if my last words are "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, Have Mercy upon me, A Sinner".

I finally got around to posting a picture of my icon corner. I am looking for an icon of St. John the Apostle, my patron, as well as St. Demetrios, and have my eye on one of St. Nicholas. It's basic, but it's where I can go...
