  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

i wouldn't mind:

show me where in the scriptures it says we shouldn't go to petra in these last days when daniel 11, isa 11, isa 16, rev 14, rev 12, jer 31 and like rest the entire scriptures clearly state otherwise.

even if i do wind up in petra when i'm still 80, which i highly doubt will happen, i will know i have not wasted my life. while i'm there i will still be helping people. sharing and spreading my Love for Yeshua.

And i find it kind of ridiculous that you started off calling me beautiful and now are accusing me of blasphemy. show some respect please; that's all i've done to you.

I said the idea was flirting with blasphamy. Thats not quite saying your blasphamous, but a caution that you should be careful of it. Now hang on when I look up those scriptures.

Edit: I just looked at Daniel 11 and I see nothing about the area in Jordan. Only of Kings of the North and South engaging in war.

I've seen some place names that I don't have the time to look up or read in context in Isaiah. I do not see that in Revalations.

hey, I'm not hear to debate and try to prove what I believe, if you want to know it and understand it for yourself then so be it; but, if you're just going to try to disprove me then I don't have time to talk with you.

Everyone has their opinion on certain matters on what they believe. Just respect them and try not to destory each in who is better. Everyone is different just respect and don't attack other people's beliefs.

God Bless

Drew

Fine I'll let this go but I disagree with the whole respect eachother's beliefs ideal.

Respecting people's beliefs is what has led to the multiple heresies severing millions of Christians from the body of Christ. Fortunutly this isn't a severing doctrine yet.

What about respecting people in general??

Yes I know there are many religions, but you can't win anyone to Christ with a bad attitude either.

Many wars has been caused by different religions. I ain't stupid, but I know that you got to at least listen to each other instead of yelling and saying 'I'M BETTER MY RELIGION IS COOLER' type of situation either..

Walk in peace,
Drew

In defense of the Petra idea...

Many Christians (and Jews) believe, based on various scriptures, that God's people will be called out to a separate geographical and political arena where they will band together in safety against the beast and antichrist. Revelation does support this notion, as do some other prophecies in the Bible.

The location is a matter of dispute--but Petra seems as good a place as any, so why not? My research indicates that a 20th-century proponent of the idea was Herbert Armstrong, founder of the Worldwide Church of God (in fact, it may have been his wife who suggested Petra as the location).

I'm willing to accept Petra, since I think believers should definitely "Come out of Babylon" (as in Rev. 18:4) and that they need a place to go. There are many aspects of modern society that indicate we are approaching the endtimes. No one can give you an exact date, but I personally think it will be this century, for a variety of reasons. We need to prepare ourselves.

Jerusalem would seem to be the more logical place given that the scriptures are not entirely clear.

However one should wait for the actual end to start happening before one flee's to safetly.

I mean honestly, whats the worst that could happen? The anti-christ's henchmen kill me. . . Oh like I really scared you know . . . for sure. :p

Of course this is assuming that you even understand what is said in these texts and what they are for which is highly suspect for anyone to claim to understand any of the apocalyptic texts.

Edit: Here is the thing, I love to know things, my entire foundation in Christianity is entirely self taught. I did not go to sunday school, I did not get confirmed, I did not have a single class that was of any real use in my understanding of my faith life.

But at some point I have learned that I have to just say "I am not ment to understand this." I think that revelations is ultimatly a message of hope and victory in Christ. I don't belive I'm ment to understand it beyond that. If God wanted us to understand revelations he would have made the whole thing much much more clear.

to ChristianDrew:
I'm going to continue on with my English Literature and Vocal Performance majors, and hopefully slipping in some Biblical Study classes. On top of that; working, becoming much closer to Yeshua, and preparing to leave for Petra.
