Why we have a prayer thread for the living only? Why not just have a thread so we can pray for anybody?

I've asked Chris if we can have a prayer thread to list those who have died, but he has been extremely busy. NYJ opened a thread over in OBOB to list those who have died, but we should have our own. It would be nifty to have one here, so that on the Saturdays of the Souls (the next one being February 21 - this next Saturday) we can just copy our list off this site and take it to our Priest.
BTW: Are you aware that the Orthodox Church has four Saturdays of the Souls (the Latin Catholics have only one All Souls Day).

I really am only visiting this site -- and already maintain the Today's Saint thread. I have a lot to do with 15 units at the university, 6 of which are medical courses.
Please pray for me.

What's involved in making a thread like this? I thought one would just make the thread like any other thread and that was it? Am I missing something?chanter said:

Look at the thread in OBOB in their chapel. nyj listed the Orthodox prayers for the deceased (from the Byzantine Catholic Church). People then listed in separate posts the names of their departed friends and relatives. The only hard part is the first and the advisory that no debates will be tolerated, because it is only for listing prayer requests.
