I Took it Out

A month or so ago I posted about body piercings and I mentioned my tongue piercing. I appreciate everyone's feedback, mrstace's in particular. For various reasons I decided just last night to take it out. One of the reasons was that my tongue piercing was the last little remnant from my sinful life. I gave up the swearing, smoking, drinking, partying, and wearing immodest clothing. All I had left was my tongue piercing. It wasn't so much that I thought it was sinful, it was just the symbolic meaning it had...a way of me clutching to that sinful past. But last night after much prayer, God convicted me and I took it out. I think I'm gonna bury the jewelry in my front yard Believe it or not the hole has actually already grown back over. You can't even tell I was pierced there. When I showed my Gramma today on my lunch break she actually got so happy she cried. My parents were pleased as well.

Again, I appreciate all of your opinions, prayers, support, and Scriptures. I know it helped me to make the right decision for myself so that I may continue to edify Christ in my life. God bless you all.

Regardless of whether the piercing was right or wrong, if removing it helps leave a sinful past behind, and move forward with God, then that is a good thing! If I was able to help you even a tiny bit, then my presence on these boards has not been in vain. I am happy for you!! Praise be to God!!

yes i agree with mrstance..we should get rid of any thing that hinders our spiritual growth. I'm happy for you that you're leading a new life now. It's gonna be exciting!
