I realized I was old when the new hires I dispatch for were in kindergarten the year I started dispatching.

Yes, certainly. Music is such a benchmark for chapters and experiences of life. (Just like our sense of smell).
Yesterday I was humming "Yesterday" (Beatles) and I hadn't even heard it on the radio. My brain just picks stuff up. Last week it was Perry Como. Both before my time but can't help it. Just happens.
