I have decided to quit debating with you people, I have yet to see one person saved or healed within these debates.

The Lord blessed me with a great day, I have seen many saved and healed today, more than I can count.

I will never change what is within my spirit, that it is the will of God to heal all. so you have wasted your time.

I will not waste mine. :) I won't even look back.
Be Blessed, and I do mean that.

Since I cannot convince anyone that I am right and because I can now see that I have built a theology on a foundation of sand, I think I will bail out … but for noble reasons, of course.

I haven't quit debating, but I've eased up. A lot. It's a bit like pounding your head against a wall. Eventually you wise up and stop. ;)

CF debating usually consists of both sides intentionally misrepresenting the other and then acting innocent about it. No real debate can happen like that, and I am sorry to say that for years, I was a part of that problem here.

There is a contingent of "debaters" here who seem to not be satisfied unless everyone agrees with them. But it's like you said gennaoanothen, I am secure in what I believe. I don't need other people to agree with me. They are free to believe whatever they want, about me and about my beliefs.

Personally, I think it's sad. When we all respect one another and treat each other like we're all a part of the same body with the same Father, we are able to learn from the diversity of beliefs and backgrounds. But when we see no place for those who don't believe just like we think they ought to and our mission is to prove how wrong they are, no one learns anything and it only fosters division and strife.

Tis reaally more like the synagogues of which the representatives of the class that can debate sit and debate w/o the level ever being moved up cause nothing is ever put into writing...so the debates of Protest. never goes beyond point zero imvho

Well, I haven’t stopped debating. But I agree, trying to deprogram brainwashed people is like beating your head against a wall.

But, then, I am really not that interested in convincing my old indoctrinated opponents in this forum of anything. It is the newcomers and visitors who come to this forum every day, those who may themselves be indoctrinated who do not need to be fed the same old Tulsa-line that they have been indoctrinated with and need to know there is more to God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit and Christianity than they have been taught.

Faith is not, after all, as one-dimensional as some have led them to believe. ;)

...my old indoctrinated opponents...

That is a picture perfect illustration of why we can not have good, honest debate and learn from one another.

No matter what you think, I am not your "indoctrinated opponent". I am your brother in Christ.

The truth line is, I have come to my set of beliefs through much personal thought, study, prayer and experience. But to stack the deck against me and completely discredit anything I might have to say, you just brush me off as an "indoctrinated opponent", right from the get go.

Have some of the things I believe been influenced by Rhema and Hagin? No doubt, but then, some of the things I believe have been influenced by you and other people on this forum and in my life also. ;)

I just wish that we could all stop this nonsense and have respectable debate about our differences, like we were all part of the same family, like we were all on the same side, like we weren't each other's "opponents".

I'll let the "men" argue that as I see I'm being ignored again.

I like you, Pete, and I learn from you and I know that you are deeply committed to what you believe. However, I am not so sure that you are as open to my views. But, so what? I am no longer trying to convince you of anything.

When I sometimes counter some of your posts (which I always try to do from scripture), I really do not think that I am convincing you of my POV. But I do want impressionable visitors who come to this forum daily and read these posts to know that your views are not necessarily the only ones P/C’s believe and that there is possibly another, better explanation for some of the verses (often wrested from context or misinterpreted) offered here as “the Word of God.”

But as for you and small contingent of posters in this forum, I agree, I am beating my head against a wall.

Anyhow, thanx for the lecture.

P.S. Did you know that some of the superstars of Christian TV, some of those idolized “prophets” who are misleading God’s people through lop-sided teaching, come to this particular debate forum regularly (probably because their names crop up here from time to time and they have googled themselves)? I know this first hand. (In fact, I have sometimes wondered if they actually post here.)

So, we either support their misleading teachings or we don’t; we point readers of these posts to them are we warn them to steer them clear; we e endorse deviant doctrines or we resist them; we encourage pop-theologians to keep leading us to the brink of the cliff or we show where they have lead us down a wrong path.

You never debated with me, but good on ya. Do what your Father has for you to do, and may you glorify God in your doing. I'll wager you'll find more success praying in faith believing for healing than you will by not praying or not believing.

I do sense something of a root of offense in this post. Hope you can find a way to resolve that.

Titus, 3:10, Warn a divisive person once, and then warn him a second time. After that, have nothing to do with him.

Is this what you're doing?

That goes along with trying to cure people of the bitterness in their heart. Only God can do that, not by our efforts. There comes a time when you just have to stop trying.
