Anyone have any tips/tricks to memorize the Books of the Bible in Order. I've got the NT down, but I've had a lot trouble with the OT. Probably my age... Thanks! ~kim

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi, Kimanne ~ what's helped me a lot is writing down the Scripture verses in a notebook. Copying helps to imprint the words in your mind as you write them down. You'll also have it handy to refer back to when memorizing.

Learn them in groups of 3-5. Repeat them three times, then do that three times a day. Every other day, add another group of 3-5, then repeat the entire list three times (from the beginning), then do that three times a day.

chant them in a rythmn. we learn words faster when they are set to music. just think of all the jingles you know. I also reccomend filsofer s idea. say them to someone else not just to yourself. Good luck I know you can do it.

I learned them using some kind of song when I was in elementary school. I can't remeber how it went though.
