  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I need an orthodox view please

But that’s the thing...I did it after I was a Christian
There is nothing you can do that God is not willing to forgive you if you repent.
My confessor often told me that when I stand before God on the last day, He isn't going to say to me, ,"Why did you do this and why did you do that?", He is going to ask, "why didn't you get back up when you recognized you had fallen?"
When the prodigal son repented and started to return home, his father saw him when he was still a long way off and his father ran to meet him. This is the image you should have of God. He loves us so much that when we repent, He will run to meet us where we are and bring us back home. Never despair that you can't be forgiven. It is one of the tricks the evil one uses to keep us from repentance.

agreed, it's a lie of the enemy to think we are ever beyond God's forgiveness.
