I didn't really know where to post this, but I have a question that I need answered. "How do we know God Exists?" I need a real explanation. I have yet to find someone that can help me. I dont want bible verses or vague comments. How can I be expected to believe something where the only proof is a two thousand year old book, that could've been changed through the years. Please help me with this personal problem I have.

How can anyone explain to you if you dont want any verses? But one way I know to explain is this, sometimes you hear about shooting stars and time or the night when its best to look for them. So you go and and try to see them. If you dont look for them you'll never find them. Same goes with God seek and ye shall find, you must want to see Him if not you never will. Are you doubting yourself because you dont believe?

A. Intelligent Design #1?
1. Buy a brand new deck of playing cards and note the order.
2. Shuffle that deck once and notice how the order is no longer in its original form
3. Shuffle that deck once a second and let me know how long the order returns to the original order.
4. The amount of time that it takes for something that already exists to do something so simple makes it ridiculous to think that our universe could have happened without an intelligent designer.
B. Intelligent Design #2?
1. Throw a single pair of tighty-whities into a tumble clothes dryer and turn it on.
2. When those underwear come out folded without anyone's help - I will leave my faith.
Ultimately the existence of God comes down to faith. Take the bible out of the equation (because you are correct - it has some problems) and you have to choose to believe the idea of Intelligent Design Theory or the Big-Bang Theory. Statistically speaking one faith is neither better than the other faith except for one key point - with Intelligent Design there was someone to shuffle the cards or turn on the dryer in the first place.

It's matter of where your heart is. Do you want God to reveal himself to you? Ask him to show himself.
How do you know who your parents are? Sure, they may tell you that they are indeed your mother and father, but how can you know for certain?
How can you be expected to believe they are indeed your parents when the only proof is found in two people, who could have been replaced before you were old enough to notice? How can you trust the word of other family members? How do you know for sure you can trust them to tell you the truth? Isn't it all a matter of faith?

Do you have a brain? Can you really prove it or do you just believe based on what doctors tell you? There are many things you believe but will not give any proof if I was to ask you for proof.
Faith is key to knowing the answer to your question.
My challenge to you is that instead of getting your answers from man (who may confuse you more since we all know in part) you ask God himself to give you the answer you are seeking for.
He is a loving Father. don't fear to ask him what you desire to know about him.

When I was 9 or so...I had a bad stomach ach. It was so bad I could hardley stand up. I walked on to the deck in the back yard...and sat down in a lawn chair. I looked up at the sky and said...."God if you are real, make my stomach stop hurting." A few seconds later I felt like a rope was being pulled out of me. As the rope came out, so did the pain. That is the truth...This is something I experianced myself.
Next time you are wondering whether or not he exisist...or if you have a need, any kind of need...just ask God for help...and see what happens.
