Are you a believer in Christ? If so, what power does Satan have over you? Read Romans 8 and recognize that there is nothing, no power in the universe that will seperate you from the love of Christ and the intercession of Him and the Holy Spirit. Surely God is more powerful than a mere created angel.
Also, re-read 2 Cor 12 and ask yourself where the 'thorn in the flesh' came from, who gave it to Paul and for what purpose.
I am a believer in Christ and that is why I am able to deal with my "thorn in the flesh". I can't deal with it at all in my flesh and have to cry out to Jesus every day for the power to make it through another day. The purpose of the thorn in the flesh is so that I remain humble each and every day of my life and don't build up any pride that I am doing anything myself. Also in romans 12:3 it talks about not developing any spiritual pride and not thinking of yourself as "high and mighty" and being self-righteous.
Although God did not remove the thorn from Paul's flesh he said he would demonstrate his power through him. I am doing my best to lose all pride and submit myself to the will of God and what he wants to do in my life. Since he brought me out of so much mental illness I can talk to those with mental illness and know exactly what they are going through. I talked to a teen tonight at church and I was able to tell her things she has never told anyone. I didn't tell her but the spirit in me has given me the wisdom and knowledge to witness to others without pushing it on them and accusing them of how they have to live their lives. She began to cry because the Holy Spirit was working on her heart. I am just a vessel for the spirit to operate through and I can plant and water the seed but only Jesus can make it grow.
I do boast about my weaknesses and share them with everyone. In Ezekiel 33 it talks about being the watchmen and that if I don't warn others of what I have been through or what has been revealed to me through revelation from God that their blood is on my hands. However if I tell them I am freed from their blood for it is now on them if they don't accept Jesus in their lives. For when I am "weak" I am strong. I am not anything but filthy rags and tattered garments thrown out to burn. Every righteous act I perform is for the glory of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Any truth that I post or any word of encouragement that I give to others isn't for my own pride but for my pride in our Lord and Savior Jesus. The whole reason that I am sitll here is to be a witness of his glory and I am now a slave to his righteousness. I am here so that others that are living like I used to live or need help can come to me for advice and I can lead them to Jesus.
Matthew 11:29 Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
This is the ultimate goal of Christian Humility. To try and take others problems upon yourself and give them back love and support. It isn't always the easiest thing to do but Jesus is watching over us and he knows who is trying to represent him to the best of their ability. We have to remember that we are representing him to the best of our ability not for our own pride but to show thanksgiving to him for what he is doing in us. The beautiful thing is that he does not show favortism and loves us all the same. All the righteous acts we do on earth won't get us to heaven only faith in his name will and we do righteous acts so others can see his glory through us.
In Romans 8 also known as the "Victory" chapter in verse 37 it says In all these things we are more then conquerors through him who loved us. We are only conquerors because the spirit of Jesus is in our hearts and that is the seal that marks our faith to him and acceptance to him as sons of God. Remember we can only resist Satan. Jesus is the conqueror not us but we can call on his name for protection. No matter what power or principality or any creation here on earth nothing can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. We all need to come to peace with God and submit ourselves to his good, pleasing, perfect will. In order to grow in our walk we need to be obedient to what he wants to do in our lives and not what our flesh desires. It is quite the trade that we give him our sins and he gives us his righteousness.
Romans 3:22
The righteousness of God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.
Living our lives as "Living Sacrifices" will ensure that we live righteously and can be living witnesses of what Jesus can do in our lives if we submit to his will and only show pride in his glory in us. In order to recieve righteousness and wisdom we have to have faith in his works and seek after his fruits of the spirit so we can help others to see his glory and what he can do in their lives as well.
Thank you for your insight and May God Bless your daily walk.
ALL GLORY AND PRAISE TO THE HOLY TRINITY.
