Carico said:But there is someone who know everything
Actually it's them, and I have asked them. I got some really good answers too.Carico said:But there is someone who know everything. All we have to do is ask Him. All it will cost us is humility. Unfortunately, some people think that price is too high.
That's such an interesting concept. One has to wonder at how it evolved. Why do the Abramic religions all have this common concept that somehow light=good and darkness=evil. I mean is it really true that half of each day is shrouded in eeeeeevil? Does goodness actually exist in the body of photons and without them there is no goodness?Brain Damage said:And his name is "JESUS".
I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness.
It's not the price, it's the product.Carico said:But there is someone who know everything. All we have to do is ask Him. All it will cost us is humility. Unfortunately, some people think that price is too high.
They don't. next strawman, please.radorth said:If an atheist knew enough to know he knows nothing,
You've just contradicted yourself. If evolutionists (not Atheists, since they are not the same thing) "defended" evolution they way you mean, then the theories would never change, now would they?then he wouldn't defend evolution and it's ever changing theories.
There are a lot of things in this would that you doubt, yet are true. You would say something like that to Atheists. I would hope you would one day believe it yourself. But I doubt they are as humble as all that.
Oooo..... one. Shall we throw a tickertape parade? One did admit he thought evolution was basically not proven.
I wasn't aware that there was a time limit. And you do realize that Darwin was neither the first, last, nor infallible word in evolution, right? And it's pretty amazing how Darwin insisted we would doubtless find an "infinite" chain of missing links which were never found.
And mountains of posts on the C/E board alone would prove you to be half right. Surf on over sometime; we'd love to teach you what you've been missing. In any case, I submit that I am the only person on this board who admits there is no credible evidence for either creation or evolution.
So V of R, tell us some belief you used to have, held by other nonbelievers, which you have since given up. Evolutionary theory? A belief reason will save the world?
Rad
Heh. Yeah mountains of evolutionary apologetics. And mountains of posts on the C/E board alone would prove you to be half right.

I never could really understand how light levels equate to morality.

Now in the presence of light: would not you be able to see where you are going. Would you still need to worry about your next step and the consequences that it may lead you to? Provided that you are looking at the ground before you take your next step, would you expect to stumble as you walk?
