I just got fired yesterday for no reason

This may be true, but the Bible says when a man's ways are pleasing to the Lord, God will make even his enemies be at peace with him.

Yes, I have known that to happen also. Personal enemies can do a turnabout, and in my case, more often than that, I have found that those who should despise me because of Christ are strangely at peace with it, and even attracted to me. It's remarkable, and due to nothing I do or have done, but all that God is doing...for others.

Sorry. I dont know what the situation is in the USA, but in the UK an employer cant behave like that. You would sue them for unfair dismissal.

There could be any number of reasons. Perhaps they are downsizing because of the financial meltdown and didnt want to give you a proper severance package? perhaps your supervisor was just a bad person. Just because they're religious it doesnt mean they'll treat people right.

I'm not entirely sure about that, as the Bible does address this. Although I do agree with you that we should be helping, I guess where I think it should stop is when people start talking about how bad the boss is. Since no one else is here to defend themselves, all we can do is listen. That has nothing to do with casting suspicion, but it does have to do with realizing there's more to the story than just one persons view and both views may in fact be true.

Well, in case you still think so ...

I was informed by the Human Resources department that I was put down as a "without cause" termination. That means I was not fired for cause.

I had two separate conversations with HR where they confirmed this.

So, now I am getting unemployment -- got my first check -- so apparently the California unemployment officials have officially confirmed that I was fired on a "without cause" basis.

Look ...

I didn't start this topic to come here to prove myself to anyone. I was wrongfully terminated - end of story.

Enoch son, svt4him - I don't answer to you. I started this topic because I thought I could get some sympathy, compassion, advice, and prayer from brothers and sisters in Christ. I figured that people could just give some support and encouragement.

I guess I was wrong as both of you goes, so as far as I'm concerned, I got a lake you BOTH can go jump in.

If you don't have a positive contribution to help someone in their lives when they are in a bad way, something to which they didn't contribute, and something completely undeserved, then get the #@$% out of the conversation and go somewhere you can make a positive difference.

Even if someone DID contribute to the situation, you can still have some compassion.

But in this case, I did nothing that would have caused me to get fired.

So why not try finding another topic to inject your venom into?
